I went to a show on Sunday and got a lovely pic of my 3yr old but there was a lump of lard on the end of the lead rein(and it wasn't the pony) so the diet started Monday!

Mmmm lard, not good . I was striding up the field after Ona and Eris in panicking mother mode and the ground was shaking beneath my fat pounding, tree trunk legs

Well done Hatman Brindle you can't possibly look as bad as me at the moment! I'm even avoiding walking the dog on the beach in case someone attempts to push me back into the sea ;D It's rained all day here today but compared to other parts of the country I guess we're lucky. Did anyone see Eastenders tonite - i don't usually watch it but it made me cry - Dot had to put Jim in a home as she couldn't cope - very sad and now like KJM I'm trying to resist a glass of wine - not for long methinks!

Dont watch east Enders but thad that thing on ab out older mothers(just cos it was on not interested really LOL) but there was a lady on there htat had IVF(donor everything) and had twin boys when she was 58!!! How sad is it for those children who will be starting "big" school when their mum is 70! Am I being ageist or is that just too unkind for the kids?

Yes if I'm honest and I don't want to be too judgemental, I think it's quite selfish really

i saw that programme kjm - think having a baby at that age is a bit selfish - there is a fairly high chance you arent gonna be around to see them grow up and i nmay have missed it but dont think there was any mention of a father??

The father was Indian - she went to India cos it was the only place they'd do it so she had egg donor and sperm donor, just seem such a shame for the kids in the future

Mmm sad isn't it. Can you imagine a 70 odd year old woman with asian teenage twin boys who may have a chip on their shoulder due to mixed identity(may not though lets hope) it doesn't bode well for the future does it. I hope it does work out for her and the boys but looks like a recipe for disaster.

Did any of you see the thread in funnies for Tractor Factor in the Farmer's Guardian? It had me in stitches this afternoon, particularly the Daisy one and as for the one about sheep - what can I say! Maybe it just tickled me as it reminded me of Agricultural College but if you fancy a laugh it amused me...

well well well... its all happening down here... fraud, theft, subterfuge, mystery and deceit... not to mention certain connections having to give sexual favours in order to gain certain "favours" ;D ;D ;D patience was never one of my virtues and a time bomb is about to go off.... watch and wait..... ;D ;D

Morning all Last day of school for us too YIPPEEE! Its been the looooonnnnnggggeeest week ever and I am very glad we have a bank holiday monday, especially as OH working so I will be able to stay in bed, make like a starfish and snooze away for a couple of hours once he is up and gone. Well I booked an Ann Summers party a few weeks ago (not while 23 july though) and got the catalougue last night. My goodness me there are some weird and wonderful things in there! Had a good giggle with OH whilst flicking through and actually after 5 years together made him blush LOL. He asked what the beads were for and wishes he hadn't He doesnt want any of those funnily enough, but quite liked some of the saucy underwear typically. Told him I will if he will and found him a very flattering poosing (sp?) pouch. He says they dont go big enough as they dont do xxl. Ooooo the vanity! Fed up of our funny weather now. Its very wet and a bit blustery again here, really not pony weather at all. grrrrrr. Off out on the lash tonight though, Frankie away for the weekend for the first time in 2 years (only done 1 sleep at hewhomustnotbenameds but going to try 2 this weekend) so I can get very drunk without having to worry about being a mum for the weekend. But I think she will end up back home saturday teatime as she keeps checking that if she changes her mind she can come back. She said something the other day that made OH fill up last night when I told him. She was talking about her 'dad with glasses' as she calls him and said she wishes he would hurry up and get a girlfriend as he needs someone to 'smarten him up a bit'. LOL. She then went on to say she would be glad when me and OH finally get married as then OH would be her 'proper, real dad' instead of a stepdad (thinks shes been chatting at school) and her 'dad with glasses' could be her stepdad as he was a bit useless. Bless her. She then moaned at me that her 'dad with glasses' should get a job as well as he is very lazy and he shouldnt get money for not working as its not fair to take money off those who are because he's lazy. She then asked if she could take him our local free paper as it has job ad's in it and if she took it him he might find something. And then went on to say that even if he didnt want to work in a pub or in a shop he should do if thats all he can get because nobody really likes working and its not fair that he gets to watch TV all day whilst she's at school, and we are at work and even Nannan has a job and she's quite old! Out of the mouths of babes. She 6 by the way, think she should run for a local MP job?
