I over herd that the judgeing was a bit odd in the coloured classes, judge was even riding some of the ponies anyone see this? i sat and watched the coloured classes on sunday and it all seemed abit odd! some got ridden, others didnt. conf judge watched displays while the ride judge rode at the same time. judges didnt appear to get on too well as far as i could see as conf was doing alot of ordering and shouting! stood away from one another in the ring. but i did overhear the conf judge giving the ride judge a hard time on the way to the ring

Ride judge knew he shouldn't be riding in a mixed height class, however MOST of the competitors didn't seem to mind as he is v small and light! One competitor took offence and though correct in rule books (though don't think RL has rules on this?) was rude to the judge! The conf judge, though dominant, took note of the horse which plainly gave the ride judge best ride and puled it top (was also a horse which he had placed 3rd in the in hand class so he alreadyliked it). How do I know this? You could hear every word he said in their discussion over placings!!

Well if you watched the coloureds classes it was enough to put you off showing for life A rude conf judge!! A ride judge that looked so under pressure he could not ride! I am so glad my horse stayed at home in his stable!

Have to say that I can be fairly critical of judges, but Mr Jenvy judged my youngster last year and I found him to be very knowledgeable and polite - and no, I didn't win!
