Please be aware this person is still at it. I was sent a text at 4am offering me a selection of Fylde saddles for sale, when followed up I soon realised this was a scam. She is also going by the name of Gemma Ward.

While I was collecting a saddle from summertime on here today, she got a message to say that someone had been offered the saddle I was collecting for sale at £300. They had taken her photo of eBay , same photo that was on her ad on here. It is a fylde Marjorie 17.5 inch wide in Havana leather. Photo of it on a saddle rack with curtains in background. Also both a friend and my niece have both had random texts offering fylde saddles for sale, neither have put their numbers on ads, how have the numbers been obtained. The messages were from Gemma ward.

Maybe she's not got enough for her next fix - if I thought she'd buy a dodgy batch that'd finish her off, I'd lend her the money myself ha ha.....

Sadly people are still falling for this scam. She can call herself ANY name, she can say she's from ANYWHERE and she can use ANY phone number. The hard part for her is keeping her accounts open and obtaining new ones as we're busy pestering banks once we get her latest account number and sort code. So far she's had Halifax, Santander & Lloyds shut her down. We need to know what accounts she's using so if any of you have any account details, do please let us know. Preferably on the FB page as we've got a lot of information on there

Has anyone reported her to HMRC? There is no quicker way to get bank accounts frozen and assets seized than involving the good old tax man and you can bet she hasnt filled in a tax return :-) they might get her jailed for everyone as well

Hi guys, I signed up just now to post in this thread in particular. I am not sure who is aware of this one but as far as I can see, this is pretty similar to what poppy/kirsty is doing but under the name Milly Clowed. The woman who started the thread didn't buy but other people might have. I haven't personally had any contact with the seller or poppy/kirsty but I have seen a lot of people saying the have been conned and it has to stop. Personally, I am going to stick to shops and catalogues from now on, better to be safe than sorry. You just can't trust people these days. I hope something can be done about this. www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?636686-Too-good-to-be-true

I approached this lady with a text myself.. (Got very brave haha).. Asked if she had a 16in med/wide fitting Fylde Samantha. Turns out she had just the one I wanted. Second hand but at a bargain price of £375. I asked for pictures, she sent one.. Only after she asked me where I was based first, to which I said 'Preston, northwest' she said she was in West Sussex. Anyhow she sent the picture over and sure enough it was definitely a Fylde Samantha.
I told her I would have a talk with my husband and be back in touch.. Approximately 1hour later I replied saying that we would take the saddle if she passed over her pay pal details, I also asked her name as she had not even introduced herself.
SOPHIE HUNTER WAS THE REPLY... Please take not people this is another name she is using on the mobile number 07858054619
She told me she didn't have paypal but could do transfer. I asked her if she could make a paypal account because it literally takes only 5 minutes and is a benefit of safety and security for both parties.
'I totally understand hun but I'm working nights at the moment and I'm not near a comp. Can you do a transfer if I send you all my details etc x' was her reply.
I explained that my husband wasn't comfortable with doing a transfer. She followed with replying saying that she is '100% genuine' and will 'ask her courier men if they will take money on delivery' Said this would be fine -but oh no they won't accept anything over £150. I said that would be fine. I will pay the £150 cash when it lands at my doorstep and transfer the remaining £225 when it arrives also. She mentioned that her husband was not comfortable with the saddle leaving the home before a transfer was made as he was 'stung' badly last year. I said I was prepared to wait for her to get paypal within the next few days, she completely avoided this question and asked me if I could send a deposit. I agreed. She said to transfer the £150 and then transfer rest on arrival. Once again I asked her if she would be willing to get paypal but she said she goes away with work on Wednesday so won't have time.
I agreed to do a transfer of a £150 deposit for saddle. (Of course I am not this daft, I don't want or need a saddle I just want the bank details then I can report her too) I can't seem to find them matching up to others on this thread and Facebook.. So this is obviously a new identity and bank details she is using!!

There is a web site www.findsortcodes.co.uk which tells you the branch of banks The above comes up as London baker street

Just had a look at that It comes up as: London Baker Street PO Box 101 West Yorkshire HX3 0TA
Claims she lives in West Sussex. I am aware that usually the sort code is given from the branch in which you opened the account, which can only be recently surely?!
Another thing that gets me, don't you have to have ID such as a passport or something to open an account? I did for my Halifax account. Where is she getting all this identity from? Maybe she's fiddling with identity fraud too?!!
Be vigilant people! Let's work together!

Hi - I live near Baker Street - any point in going in there and alerting them to what is going on or asking how someone manages to open an account on possibly false docs?

Beware of Milly Clowed on FB and her "friend" who continually supports her FB exploits - Melanie based in Saudi?. Melanie has continually said the Milly is not a scammer! I have had ongoing dialogue with Milly who I suspect is actually a man! and using the same phone number. Milly lives in Glasgow ( yeh right) at " Georgie Square" I offered Paypal and got the standard " I don't know what that is". Be careful - I think there are several people involved in this scam, not just one person judging from the variety of texts/offers I have had ;-(.

We've always known she will still be browsing the site - it's how she finds email addresses and mobile numbers when people put them on their adverts (which is exactly why we have recommended people only pass their details on by private message). Just shows what a lowlife she is if she can read how some people have spent their savings on a saddle from her and can't afford another one. It WILL all catch up with her at some point and I hope she gets sent away for a LONG time.

It goes to show how vigilant you need to be with your private details on the internet. We are warned time and time again yet how many of us have completed all of the details requested for our profiles on Facebook? detailing where we went to school, college, born , live, work and our relatives. These are all the things that can be used against us. Avoid putting up personal details that can be used by others or giving phone numbers or email addys to people you do not know, go through the site, either here or others such as eBay as then any disputes can be monitors by those that can help you. We need to be responsible for ourselves, some of us are being very silly, might has well leave keys in a car in a city and then hope it doesn't get stolen!

My husband is a bank manager, but works on the Agricultural side. BUT, he says you have to produce some kind of ID in order to open a bank account. So is she also producing fake ID for herself or other people involved !!

So is she also producing fake ID for herself or other people involved !! She's probably just opening the accounts in her own name but obviously giving people a different name when she gives bank details to people I'm sure that doesn't work as the persons name, sort code and account number has to be correct, for a bank transfer to work !!

For bank transfer all you need is the sort Code and account number, the name can be used as reference but you don't need it.
