Please do not advertise on this site unless you are going to be totally honest. We have had several reports of sellers not sending out items very quickly after payment - buyers please note that cheques sometimes take 7 days to full clear and it is IMO perfectly acceptable for a seller to wait until the cheque has cleared prior to sending items. It is understood that sometimes circumstances happen and you can't get to the post office, but any delays should be notified to the buyer immediately to prevent any worry. It is preferable if those of you buying are able to use PayPal as you can get some protection by using that, but it does result in charges for the seller and you may need to negotiate as to who covers the cost for these. Sellers - it is not recommended that you post out items before receiving payment and anyone who does so is taking a risk. Anyone who is found to be dishonest on this site, either as a buyer or seller, will be banned. I am probably rambling a bit on this post as I haven't sat down to work out how to best word it, but I think something needed to be said immediately.

HI THERE
WOULD THIS BE THE CORRECT THREAD TO WRITE DETAILS OF SOMEONE WHO HAS ADVERTISED, SOLD AND ACCEPTED PAYMENT FOR ITEMS WHICH ARE QUITE OBVIOUSLY NOT WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE PLEASE?
I WOULD HATE FOR ANY OTHER HORSE GOSSIPERS TO BE MISS SOLD ITEMS BY THIS PERSON AS I HAVE BEEN.
CHEERS

Admin, I totally agree that paypal is the best method of payment. It gives protection to both buyers and sellers. For sellers it can be quite costly to have to pay the associated fees with paypal. However, there is a way around it... The buyer can still pay via paypal, but if they send their payment as a 'gift' then the buyer shoulders the responsibility of the fees and not the seller. I have sold items this way recently and offered free post and packing, so the last thing I want is to be out of pocket with paypal fees too. Example is; £10 payment costs the buyer 52 pence more to pay via paypal as a 'gift'

You would have to PM a mod and ask them to lock your post. Please make it clear (include a link if possible) exactly which post needs to be locked.

One slight problem with paying paypal as a gift, it does state if you pay this way you are NOT covered by the usual paypal insurace scheme. So in fact it is no more secure than a cheque.

Very true and I personally would be a bit miffed if a seller asked me to pay without protection. Perhaps sellers need to bear PayPal fees in mind when setting their prices.

Hi. I paid for jods into alixcoster1989 s bank account as it was the only form of payment she would accept Unfortunately I have never received them. She promised to post them on April 9 th then said she was too busy working to post and promised to post again next day delivery that never happened. Promised again that she had posted them on Monday. To date I still haven't got them. It's people like her who ruin horse gossip. Beware. Everyone. Of aLIXCOSTER1989

Really disappointed in this girl, if things do start arriving please can you write it on here so at least it might give others hope that they are going to receive the items. I have been texting her but when we still had no whip as of yesterday mum called her and a bloke answered and told mum she had the wrong number. All very odd. She said in the last text the whip will arrive today. I hope we arent all being taken for a ride!

I bought a neue schule bit from an advert on here, middle of November - paid straight away via paypal as she requested, but no bit. I have emailed her several times but still nothing and no reply either! I have now sent her an email giving her until next monday to get the bit to me, and then I I am contacting paypal. Really disapointed, as I have a young horse waiting for the bit. If nothing arrives, I will name her LOUD and CLEAR!!
