Hi we are competing on both days of the show. Do you have any recommendations or contacts to whom we could stable overnight with locally? Thank you.

Just to add to the above list, Somerford Park Farm is often used by competitors for Royal Cheshire Show

It's really good to have direct representatives on board, wish more shows/societies would follow suit.

Thenps Pony Mum; I never got asked for a any sort of PBA number on the entry anyway. I think I just need to get a copy of the over stamp sent to GM to make us eligible

They have always been ahead of the times and do not demand winners to parade, infact I believe they no longer hold parades. It is also worth while havng a good look around the showground; they have some interesting stands there.

Regarding competing on both days - ticket query?
We have received our entries and tickets etc for the show. I am just wanting to clarify that the tickets are eligible for both days? It states on the tickets admit only one per day but we were informed that because of competing on both days it was fine. My concern is that the amount we already pay for entries, diesel, stabling etc are we going to have to pay again to get in the second day!! Thank you if anyone can help us out with details etc.

Two ponies - one on Tues and other on Weds I bought extra tickets too for the family online. I swear it said in the schedule if you enter both days entry tickets will be sorted. I'm just wanting to make sure it's correct because I know what it's like at the gates at Cheshire! I have contacted Cheshire show but no one has contacted me with any answers.

For one pony you get 2 passes so you should have 4 free passes/tickets in your pack which can be used on either day but not both. Plus whatever else you have paid for. Not sure what you mean by entry tickets will be sorted, it just states in the schedule how many passes you get per number of exhibits x

We are usually in about 1000. I wouldn't leave getting there later than we do as rush hour round that area is manic as can be the queues into the showground.

Do you know if it quietens down around that area? I'm in the hoys fell and it's second to last. I don't really want to be there mega early as think it'll be about 3/4 that I'm in but if it doesn't quiten down at all I don't think I'd dare risk it. Wish they would just publish numbers or at least put a not before time on the ring.

I'm quite local and go for the coloureds in the afternoon. It's always quieter after around 10am BUT the motorway around this stretch is notoriously bad and there's still roadworks on it so one small incident can cause absolute chaos. They also do stop and search boxes to ensure everyone has tickets so it's far better to be early than late.
Absolutely lovely show though - one of my favourites

For info of anyone not local, the old entrance from the A556 (at the roundabout off the M6 at junction 19) has now gone....because the road has completely changed! I think the only way in now is the Antrobus route (unless anyone more local than me wants to pm me a quicker route suitable for a car from the "local traffic" roundabout on the new 556?) so read the exhibitor pack instructions!!
