Guest or no Guests

I have already said my piece on this but I have to say I am with SD52. The comments on that thread were evil and made by "guests". If you dont have the courage of your convictions enough to put your own name then dont say it.

Hp totally agree if you cant say it under your user name then dont say it at all !!!! It seems the MAJORITY of guests are only guests to cause upset

I can understand where you are coming from, but there are times when members wish to say something but not put their names to it. I'm not referring to personal comments which I agree are unnecessary (and we will delete these when asked to), but comments that are critical of the way things are being run - yes in an ideal world, they wouldn't have to hide behind an anonymous post, but many are worried about repercussions but still need to vent.

Please remember that although some comments are upsetting (and I've been on the receiving end too) you do at least have a right of reply on here. You can be sure if it's said on here, then it's also been said behind closed doors and at least you can tell the other side of the story on here.....and as already said, comments can be deleted on request where they are personal. We don't like to delete comments without a request as some people do like to take the opportunity to respond.

I would just like to thank everybody for the PMs that were sent to us with their support when the North of England thread was running. As most regular users of HG have read how poorly my daughter is we had loads of support from the members. We were not upset only annoyed by the comments of the small minded pathetic guests. I too think everybody should be a member to access any parts of HG it only takes a few minutes to join and costs nothing. NO GUESTS.

Changed my mind completely re Guests, firstly apologise to those of you who are genuine,

But some of the recent posts from guests are totally out of order and d**n rude, therefore i would say only members to post and guests to browse

Seems to me that some guests post again and again on the same topic using different names with the sole intention of causing agro!! They obviously have very sad empty lives to be bothered to do it in the first place!!!

I tried that once. Not to cause any aggro but for a bit of a wind-up with someone and it was just too much trouble. If you're not careful you can put the wrong post under the wrong name and then you are in trouble!!!

Well, i have just read a thread in the Guest Area, Hot of the press at Ponies Uk and the comments by guests are totally bizarre !!!! Never read anything like it ?

Have just been looking at guests site on HG. It seems to me that this area is frequented by people who have nothing better to do than make nasty, rude comments and back stabbing remarks. Sorry but just my observation.

nursey you are so right.The guest area is extremely bit*hy and I think the majority of the posters go on there with the intention of causing trouble and upset to people. Most of them havent got a clue what they're on about and often havent even watched the class or even been to the show or in fact seen the animal they are slagging off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is very true. Sometimes they go too far, but often they are venting about unfair situations which should be exposed. Until people can use the relevant complaints systems without fear of reprisals, then I think the opportunity to post as a guest on here is something that many members will utilise.

I agree with GL, there needs to be a place where people can air genuine frustrations and if they feel that they cannot go to their societies for fear of reprisals, then HG is a good place to start, as we know many judges and society officials use our site.

Unfortunately that means that there will also be the few who just want to cause trouble but I don't see how we can have one without the other.

The guests are back to there old tricks again i see, knocking everything and anyone, dont know if they just have nothing better to do or are just bad losers

Saying that certain guests seem to speak in the same way as certain members do, also if you have a look at profiles these members are always logged off when certain guests post

Maybe i am just suspicious but i think i have figured out who some of you are
