I heard yesterday that Colorado has been measured out and can not compete. Does anybody know if this is actually the case or is it just one of those Pre HOYS rumours? Hi I would just like to clear up any rumours before they start i am the owner of colorado and he has not been measured out, but all i want to say is that he is a 9yr old and has been competeing for years, but somebody has lodged an objection against him to try and stop him competing at hoys!! I think it is a very nasty trick to do such a thing with only weeks to go, it is obviously because he is a threat to there own horse and to give there own horse a chance eliminate mine, it has cost a lot of time and money to qualify, and i am devastated that somebody could stoop to this level, i hope that this low life has no further luck with their showing career if they have to go to this extreme, its absolutly disgracefull. I hope this person gets their comeuppance i really do!

I disagree with mid season measuring for many reasons and this strategic objecting is despicable.
I think that anyone that "strategically objects" should also have their horse measured!
Good Luck

Edward - sorry to hear that. I do think that strategic objectioning is really, really despicable. Think there should be some sort of cut off date just before the qualifiers end/at the time they end as to when you can object. A good friend of mines horse has been objected to as well in the past week, just before HOYS. Can't believe that people can be so cruel as to ruin peoples dreams by waiting until 3 weeks before the horse is to compete at HOYS which means that even if the horse measures in it wont look its best if it has been 'let down' slightly. People that are objecting - IT DOESN'T MAKE YOUR HORSE ANY BETTER!!!

i thimk it is so petty for people to object so close to hoys just because they are jealous of such a loveley horse i think that tarnya and colorado are a fantastic combination it is just a shame someone so jealous has to try and ruin this stunning combination.

Well I am new to all this and I cant believe the politics that go on. It really puts me off aiming to compete at County level. I think I will stick with local shows. It seems to go on before a show and then afterwards at County level. This strategic sabotage is the pits, how can people look you in the face and smile after they have kicked you in the guts like that. I hope this person gets their comeuppance i really do! thank you for all your kind remarks, i live abroad and its difficult to arrange, but am doing my best to arrange things, so fingers crossed, we will be there!
