Forecast rain all week in Hampshire! Woke up at 5am - worrying about how to get 2 of mine exercised in limited time, as cant turn out when wet and school will flood!
Had a brain waive - am going to try ride and lead today....
Ride my sons 14hh pony and lead my 16 hh youngster. Have to do it that way round as pony is dominant and brave. Lilly is not brave, submissive to charm and will follow her to the end of the universe!
Wish me luck?

Ok - this is taking the michael now - we have huge hail stone in Blackburn - poor horses are out - although they are probably not bothered. It will be June before I get to ride again with dark nights and weather to contend with

Weather in North Devon is awful and has been since Sat - managed a quick ride on one Sat morning but now its really windy and don't ride mine in that weather as she is a loony - they are being turned out every day in the rain and rugged up but weather is like this all week so no riding for me. Just hoping next weekend is better.

Havnt tried ride and lead yet. Decided young Lilly needs to learn to hack on her own, as she is too dependent on her "friends" to see her past the scary things!
Have a sore bum from so much hacking this week! Have to hack sons pony out too, so double trouble LOL
Seems to be working, as Lils has buckled down and got on with the job - apart from one reverse up a lane at high speed, for which she got a smack bum! She then decided forward was a better idea..............bless her!

Just got back from jumping one of mine. Soaking wet! Had a bit of a school with local showjumper and we swapped for a bit. My horse jumped him off twice. He was not very amused. Ride and lead my two all the time it just saves so much time. Fed up with this wet and grey weather. Hampshire supposed to have heavy rain tonight. Opening meet tomorrow!!!

Its pouring down already here! (Bishops Waltham) - mine are all tucked up in bed dry and safe from the fireworks - I hope!
I used to ride and lead my hunter liveries everyday and loved it. Havnt done it for a while though. Thought maybe better get hubby to follow on bike first time out, to see if they can do it ok? If you get a good pair, it works a treat doesnt it. Bad couple and its dire!

Yes - I am supposed to be hacking with a friend at 7.30 am tom. Hubby - never worries about me on the horses, but even he warned it might be too dangerous to ride in the morning as Violent wind and rain expected.....

Talking of violent winds we had a really good chicken curry tonight so I can safely predict 85mph gusts around the Cannock area tomorrow morning.
