Well being female wouldn't want anything on arms/shoulders etc., thought that lower back would be good because you could show it/cover it as needed. Don't want anything massive, just a little twiddly bit in the middle! Been debating it for a while, but never quite dared to take the plunge! It would have to be little as needs to be done all in one go - if it hurts I won't go back to get it finished, so will be stuck with half a tattoo!
I just think that if you can't shock your mother when you're the wrong side of forty, there's something wrong!! Not to mention embarrass your kids! I fully intend to grow old disgracefully.

Now pumkin listen to your anty's Halfpass don't put anything on that you may regret later and if you do have one go for somwhere fleshy it won't hurt so much. But don't hide it away whats the piont of spending all that money on somthing that no one sees. I quite fancey having a celtic band on my wrist thats one place that dos'nt sag as you get older. Being that you are very artistic why not have a go yourself :-/I'm good with a paint roller, can't see me being quite so accurate with a needle!!

I have a tattoo, I waited till I was 45 to have it done asnd it didnt really hurt at all. Mine is on the bottom of my back and its a unicorn. I love it even though I never show it off.
I was like you and wanted to do something a bit daring. My dad just took one look at it and said How Bl**dy old are you I thought you had more sense than that.
Go for it girl

Was very impressed with Billy Connolly's story of when he had his nipple pierced. Apparently the guy put the ring in, looked him in the eye and said 'Well that's one more of us and one less of THEM!'

I had my nipple pierced and it went sceptic and I had a boob like Dolly Parton and becauce of the metal it was made of I had to have the Firebrigade cut it off. I have to say it was the best experiance of my life. Have offten thought of having the other one done

It Bl***dy hurt and is quite large it took an hour, the one advice I would give is think about what you want, it took my tattoist 6 drawings before I was happy and I dont regret a thing.

any one who has a tattoo has my respect I would love one but it's the thought of that neddle that puts me off I have a real phobia of them. I sure as hell ain't going to pay someone to keep sticking one in me just to put a pretty picture on my skin, when I had my piercing done it took half a bottle of vodka and two large friends to hold me down and that was done in seconds, sitting there for a hour? I don't think so not my idea of a fun afternoon for me.

Another volunteer here! At our town's little Christmas lights switch on, they bring the fire engine onto the market place for the kids to look at and sit in, my friend and I were pushing the kids in there, it was like 'Mum, I'm too old for the fire engine' 'Shut up and get in the bl00dy fire engine!'

Joking aside, they are cracking blokes, some years ago we had an in foal mare who fell and couldn't get up, they came out at 10 o clock at night to lift her, they were brilliant. Then she took ill and the foal was born early, the firemen had the foal in the fire engine trying to get him to breathe with the oxygen mask, they were as gutted as we were when we lost him. So we always support our firemen, you never know when you might need them, they do a lot more than put out fires.
