I don't want to be picky, and we all make spelling mistakes, (myself included) but please try..... it's definitely NOT definately. Your comments will be taken more seriously if you appear to be literate! try constructing your comments in 'word', use spell check and then copy and paste them into dialog box. OR use the spell check facility below dialog box.

I am not suprised you have -18 Karmas. I am sure the majority of people who come on here do not have the time to compose thier posts in word first!! Everybody has typos!! I think people have beeter things to do

gh we can always rely on you to point out our weaknesses, you lost me when you got to word spell check, copy and paste. All far beyond my comprehension and my ability on the computer, but I promise I will try to type good grammar!!

Typos are my speciality, but definAtely appears wth alarming regularity. I know I'm an old git but can't help it. I was educated when spelling was important. Anyone who has enough time to faff about on this or other gossip sites when they could be doing some housework (not me I'm a fella!) most certainly has the time to use the spell check facilty provided on this site! By the way, what are 'Karmas'?

dh sorry if our spelling offends you, but most of us are hard pressed ladies fitting a few minutes in here before waiting on some idle bloke who has the time to point out others shortcomings, I for one, have A levels in both english language and lit but that doesnt stop me missing a key and prissing sond befo0re I've read the garble I've sont.

Rose ............."i really should not have done it" would be correct if I only intended to wind someone up once. "I really shouldn't" implies I may well continue, as I've done it all my life! Lighten up!

gh this is great it's like being back in English lessons, by the way very impressed with all the "split infinative's". I must point out though that if you think I have time to Faff about on this you are mistaken, some days this can be sanity in it's self. A busy house with 3 kids, 3 dogs, 3 ponies and a grumpy OH, school runs, sainsbury's, not to mention the trailer I just crashed!!! So sometimes this just helps escape all of that and see that other people too can be just as manic. But please do keep up the English tutoring it's great!!

I think it is quite rude of you actually, to start correctly people on their spelling, had we have wanted a spelling lesson, then we would choose when and where, not have it thrust upon us by some old buzy body, think before you open your mouth...

How I agree with GH!
Poor spelling and grammar really irritate me. I was taught in the 50's that you should always check and re-read your work before handing it in. We had marks deducted for any slight mistake AND we didn't have spell-check in those days! It doesn't take long to check it over, and if you have any pride in your work (even if it is only a reply in a chat-room) then you wouldn't want others to spot your glaring mistakes.
There is a very popular site where you can find answers to absolutely everything, which is very useful, but I get sooooo angry with the spelling, comprehension and grammar. What is the world coming to?

Thanks, rose
I've always believed in that - I suppose you could call it retribution. I have found that if I intentionally upset someone (which isn't that often!) it always comes back on me. If it is unintentional, then nothing untoward happens. Does that make sense? My daughter thinks it is absolute rubbish. On the other hand if I do someone a good turn or make a kind gesture, then I always seem to have a good day, Don't know whether that is the right out- look, though.

Overbent - Your phylosophy seems much the same as mine.
A couple of years ago my partner, as he was then, sent two of my horses, along with 3 of his own to Potters slaughter-house, without my knowledge. I left him the following week.
I heard on the grapevine that about six weeks ago someone at his livery yard got so fed up with all his chickens making a mess everywhere that he shot them all. Ex was livid! I know you can't compare horses with chickens, but, as you say, what goes around comes around. We are friends again now, life's too short to be bitter about it, but I shall never forgive him for what he did.

Silversox, you must have a VERY forgiving nature not to be bitter with your ex!
I will admit to putting OH's "smalls" in the wash with rugs or numnahs, or ironing just one sleeve of his shirts (thus forcing him to spend the whole day with his jacket on!!), when irked by him.....but sending horses to slaughter if you are a bit miffed with someone is over the top in my opinion!!!!!

This is a photo of my daughter and one of those horses of mine which he shot - she was lovely, but found to have a kissing spine. We tried for 4 years to get her in foal, to no avail. Ex looked upon her as a waste of space, but has since said he regrets sending them to Potters. His daughter-in-law, who runs the yard, wanted them gone and it was a case of yes, dear, no dear, whatever you say, dear. The worst part was telling my daughter what had happened.
This thread is now becoming rather morbid, I'm afraid, and we ARE getting off the subject, considering this started out about SPELLING!!!!, so let's think positive.
