First time I've ever had a headache before I've finished drinking - jumped ship early and was home by 7pm, so glad I didn't make the evening news!!!! I'm definately getting too old for all this (or perhaps my liver is getting old before the rest of me?)

Shelleyj, there are 11 people in the Gatwick area still nursing mountain sized handovers after the Hunt ball on Friday night- all swearing never to touch another drop of alcohol again...................................until the Winter Champs that is!

I have a deep rooted fear of rats. I'm not much of a dancer but if if I ever see rat I perform what can only be described as an unchoreographed version of riverdance. Up until last week I had not seen a rat at my stables for a few years, that was shattered when one ran under the gate it took me 10 minutes to ge over the shock! I now know it was only because I hadn't seen one for all those years, not that they wern't around. Its the tails that I really hate long and hairless not fluffy like squirrels. I may consider therapy or a shotgun license and eradicate the blighters.

haha you all make me giggle, we had a few rats this year and managed to corner one of the little blighters it were huge but to my diadvantage my ferrets were all locked away for the night so i were only armed with a plastic spade and every time i belted it it just squeaked and ran off not one of my brightest moments the little bu**er still terrorises the farm and caused one of my best ratting dogs to get a huge abcess the dog now has contract out on the rat

seems like all the neighbourhood rats have decided it's too wet to live out and have moved in to winter quarters earlier this year.
Free course mix for lunch, dinner and tea, lovely deep straw banks to wriggle about in, and just 2 german sheperds( that ar'nt very quick) to worry about!!!!
WAR ON RATS starts today!!!!!!

Did anyone see that programme with Martin Clunes (one man and his dogs, or something like that), where the JRT's came to kill the rats? Bl**dy fantastic dogs, sorted it in no time, biggest pile of dead rats you've ever seen, must have been about twenty.

Hi just found this thread, very funny and interesting reading , we have a problem with Han rattys, they got into our feed room and into a drawer where I kept the horses First Aid Kit, bandages etc, all eaten and pee'd etc on, they even got into the tubes of ointments and sunscreen, we haven't needed it this year , very clever as they extracted the ointments without making it obvious. So I am going to try the Rat n Bait to see if that works
