My Dad recently bought a bucket of rat bait. Stored it in the feed room for use at a later date. The rodents ate their way through the plastic and ate half the contents!!! They must have been feeling suicidal!?

They must have been feeling suicidal!? I have a bit of an infestation going on this year too Yard cats are useless...just sit and wait for the catfood to be put out and then go and lie on the straw The rats get into anything that is left out..they chew through plastic bins to get at feed..and like absfabs...have helped themselves to rat bait licking their lips as they devour it no doubt Always know if a body has been found by the girlie scream from my 6ft2ins son Just re read that...sounds like I was saying that absfabs was at the rat bait You know what I meant

The plug in worked for us aswell but it doesnt get rid of them completely. It makes it unpleasant for the rats to be around so they dont nest but the little sods can still stand it long enough to come and have a good nosh There should be show classes for rats, the ones i have seen here look so sleek and have fantstic coats, in absolutely top show condition As for being bad form to bbq the two legged variety i can think of a few that i would like to bbq..........!

Unfortunately we have been taken over by rats. Some day soon they will spread and eventually take over the world so be warned. They are everywhere, hundereds of them, watching us ready to make their move when we're not watching them. The truth is they're plotting, plotting something so horribly evil it will shock you to the core!

Our local rats, most interestingly enough have taken to gnawing and nibbling on some of the ponies coronets You could clearly see their teeth marks! I have since pasted the hoofs with good old fashioned cribox and that has done the trick!

Well we had a rat run across the yard so I wacked it with the hosepipe and it bit onto the end and was hanging onto it with its teeth while i was waving the hosepipe about. The brute then ran under the school!

I have a problem on our yard with rats chewing their way through the gear stick cover and getting into my box, then chewing the carpet off of the walls and knawing there way through the seats I have taped the hole up around the gear stick, I have put poison down everything but they are still entering, and I dont have any food in the box, finally gave up yesterday and moved the box to my house

They have taken up residence again with us at home - they love to sit in my bird table outside my kitchen window and stare at me!! We are paranoid about poison since we lost our wonderful gun dog 2 years ago when he ate some so have taken to other measures which have to say not working! OH put down some superdouper traps - tally so far I squirrel and a blackbird (supposed to be bird proof) - traps have now disappeared = rats obviously think dinner is now served on a plate! Like Jasper Carrot he sat with gun having tried flushing them out - again no joy only disturbed the poor squirrels. Mice once ate all the electrics in his pride and joy (old Mercedes) guess if the rats move in there he may take more drastic action! I HATE the so and so's - any advice gratefully received!

we have brought a air riffle and so far Ive managed to shoot two buckets, the feed room door, a very large waterbutt and a couple of low flying helecopters, we haven't seen any rats lately, I think they have left just in case I shoot one of them by accident.

We do have a lovely Jack and he does get very excited when he can smell they are around - but he is a bit old and porky and always seems to miss!! The new gundog is just all legs and very amusing to watch as they disappear between his legs and he falls over! Think we need to borrow a couple of good ratters - OH went to get some smoke bombs to try and flush out but must admit I will go out as think the scene might resemble something like the start of 'Saving Private Ryan'!! Thanks for the chuckle Halfpass - sounds like our attempts!! The sight of my OH hanging out of our bedroom window with the air rifle is priceless!

He even fed it fish every day until it chewed the wires on a day he didnt go to sea!! Then it was war;but catching it in a rat trap he released it in the garden of somebody he wasnt keen on!!Nice??!! ;D ;D ;D ;D www.polmesk.co.uk

we had always had a rat infestation in our old stables as the 50yrold stone walls had lots of ideal ratholes. i even found a dead one in my pony's water bucket! we built a new stable further up our yard, and they have moved and i saw one rustling in the straw, then run along my grooming kit! :0 !! i hate the little b*ggers!
