That's right we are abandoning the tired old ship that has lost it's way. All the more room for fresh active polite blood then! ;D About time too. Good Luck NPS.

1. Are you on a witch hunt? 2. What are you going to do with the information if/when you get it? 3. What do you hope to achieve? Those affected have already contacted WP&CS and/or NPS. Both have a track record of issues arising over the past few years... many of which fortunately have never reached this site

Perhaps to get NPS/WP&CS & more importantly Northleach show committee to respond, not just brush it under the carpet.
This is NOT a witch hunt!!! more an endeaver to see justice done & the 'common' competitor listened to BEFORE we all give up!
If any of the above had responded, then I'm sure it would not need to be brought up on here again & again!!!
Even if their response is to prove nothing wrong was done (which would be a a godsend, as no-one really wants to believe showing is at then end of its life), at least they would be pecieved as having acted.

I have competed at Northleach for many years, and have been stewarded by RPS many times and have always found her to be domineering and totally out of order in her demeanour in the ring towards the judge and competitors. She has always given me the impression that she has tried to influence the judging and I have always hated riding in a ring where she has stewarded. One year the winning B stallion cantered the whole way along one long side in front of the judge on the wrong leg and still qualified!! I have qualified on a B at Northleach, but am sure I wasn't who RPS wanted! I hope she is never allowed to steward a class again. At least if she is judging, she is listed in the schedule and can be avoided - if she stewards then she is just an unlisted judge.

1.There is no witch hunt - just an attempt to get people to come out from behind their pseudonyms and say things to my face(2). Some of them have done. 3.I want to clear my name once and all. I had no involvement whatsoever and am very annoyed that my reputation has been damaged by these accusations. I understand that the NPS will nw be making a statement.

I have been steward for the lady concerned at a qualifier and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. You can learn much about Welsh ponies from her. She takes the job very seriously and in this case knew none of the ponies. Her marks were easy to follow. Must admit said nothng, did as was told and listened. Everything was done as it should be and it was good experience. Have been to Northleach and do believe stewards need to leave the judges to their own devices. The A judge in 2006 couldn't make her mind up what to pull in. She deserves the criticism. The ponies walked around the ring six times before the first pull [we counted] and we think she pulled the wrong grey pony as the one behind went beautifully as did the bay who was second.

You're right the judge didn't help the situation and didn't seem to know what she wanted to pull in.

Oh dear Goodoh are you one in with the comitee,or just completely naive I think it is an absolute travesty that Northleach have kept the qualifier IMO there was only one pony that deserved to qualify there last year!

Northleach is a great day out whatever you think. Surely something has been done to sort the usual problems out. Oh Dear, Who was the pony who deserved to qualify? Did it?

Interesting to note where the four qualifying ponies finished at Olympia. Would make you think there is something very wrong with these qualifiers. RPS and LI did a deal that's why they are staying at Northleach.

Maybe the honourable thing would be for the "steward" in question not to be permitted to officiate in the Olympia qualifiers.

Wishfull thinking Guestless, she rules that show with a rod of iron and yes she is on the show committee so any objections anyone makes end up in her lap anyway

Can we be careful about bringing threads from other forums over here - I'm a bit uncomfortable about it, especially when there is litigation involved. (I know you had good intentions by doing so in this instance, but we have a bad enough reputation over here )

Unfortunately due to two council members resigning and existing members not wanting to stand again because of the politics she probably will get on.

(I know you had good intentions by doing so in this instance, but we have a bad enough reputation over here ) I think the reputation of some of the council members and the WPCS is sinking fast. The problem with northleach is just the tip of the iceburg, look at the rest of the threads on this sight. (its also not just the ridden classes that are corrupt, this is a show run by the judges and select committee for other judges and close friends) Featherston, i feel you have nothing to worry about, i had no idea that you were supposed to be the steward. Such a shame it ended your stewarding career!!!

Maybe you need to try some direct action to see if that brings any changes about. What about a petition for people to sign to say they want the qualifiers moved (probably too late for this year, but worth trying now for changes for next year).

"petition"? Sprays coffee all over computer screen
Sorry don't think anyone will sign, it's called showing suicide.

Why not a petition on here then nobody will be committing showing suicide.

I don't think a petition on here would stand for very much as you are all anonymous. Unfortunately if you really want to get things done then you need to be prepared to stand up and be counted. I can understand one single person not wanting to do this, but collectively it can make a big difference.
I guess it depends on how strongly you all feel about it. I know if I was unhappy about the way our breed qualifier was being handled, I would be prepared to put my name to my complaint. If there are lots of people unhappy then they can't blacklist you all without showing themselves up.
