there are some folk who are very busy and work full time manage several ponies walk dogs attend physio and hospital appointments and sometimes forget to put a cheque in the post so it takes a bit longer to complete sale. obviously if people ignore pm's they aint going to buy! but spare a thought for them like me just plain forgetful lol x What about when they dont pay & give backword??? and arrange to come buy an item then dont turn up? especially when you re-arrange your weekend, why dont you spare a thought for the poor person that has to put up with timewasters like you!!!!

I can second the comments on both of the above 2 - promised a cheque by whoisshe that never turned up and still waiting for a bank transfer from Tom1!
Have another "buyer" currently whose name looks like it will be joining the list but I'll give her one more chance...

Kidside - unfortunatly being in hospital is a little more important when you are seriously ill, and i messaged you as soon as i got home, to say i was sorry and was unable to drive to collect, if i had been given your phone number i would have called. But to be quite honest i feel i did everything in corectly as i was trying to emphasise these things happen, i had to make a quick decision to put the ponies in full livery as i am back in hospital for further operations, so i dont need your flack for the sake of £20 honestly are you really that cheesed off you didnt make £20, wel sorry but my life is worth more than driving up the motorway whilst under the influence of morphine.....

I would imagine kidside isn't bothered about the money, more the timewasting! And as she isn't a mind reader, she wasn't to know!

It is not only ponies people don't pay for Some time ago I sold lots of 'horsey stuff' to a well known local producer who was known to me. She had rugs, stirrups, a bridle plus lots of other bits and pieces, all in very good clean condition, she did give me a nominal amount for the rugs, and bridle but lots she never paid for, although I saw her regularly , I did mention to her about the money, I will add here it was not a great deal, but it was never forthcoming. What is even more annoying I could guarantee, that had it been the other way around, I would have been 'hounded' for the money!! Taught me a lesson, when I finally gave up and sold my last horse, I gave the new owners absolutely everything inclusive of the price rather than try and 'sell' it

mandylf said she was going to buy a pony from me, send deposit and balance the following week...and guess what, it never arrived!
She also paid my friend for a pony over a very long period of time via £50 postal orders!!!!

I had someone call me about my youngster i had for sale and they arranged to come see him tried him for hours and fell in love as he is such a gem. They arranged to come the next weekend to pic him up. The evening after they trid him she text me for details of his bit size, rug size bridle size etc then i never heard from her. Presuming she would ring me before they picked him up. I still hadnt received a call so i rang her on the day before she was supposed to pick him up as i was slightly concerned, to which i had no reply. I had turned away 4 other potential buyers in the mean time. She never came and i still havent heard from her since. I called the other people back but they were suspicious (as i probably would have been) and so didnt come view. I have since re advertised him and have my fingers firmly crossed i find him the right home!!! This is not the only occasion i have had numpties or timewasters messing me about. Idiot parents wanting to stick there little kids on a 'Horse' to grow into!!!!!!! Absolute craziness. Yes nobody should show interest in something without being 100% interested. If its not for you thats fine but be HONEST!! Which so many people struggle with

A farmer near me sold a huge wagon and trailer load of hay. Cheque paid and bounced. Then discovered that a false address had been given and the wagon had false number plates on.
The next person wanting hay thought that the farmer was out to diddle him when he wanted the cheque to clear before collection.

I have not checked messages, as i am snowflakes mother and we have been through a traumatic week as the childrens father left last weekend.... AND my daughter read the pm and said sorry that she didn't tell me about it....If i had a contact phone number i would have rang you and explained the situation, we have not received the goods and i have always paid for goods i have received via horsegossip. I have also been fortunate enough to sell many items through horsegossip, and i never considered them sold until i have received the money. I have often not received payments from other people before, and just have accepted the fact that they have changed their minds. I have not seen fit to put bad comments about them on this forum, especially when i have not even received the goods!!! If you wish to discuss this further, you could pm my daughter 'snowflake' who is only 13 and she will pm you my phone number.

Was coming on here to ask if anyone had trouble with 'Timewasters' but can see from the posts that I am not the only one! After making the decision to sell one of our ponies and advertising him I have nearly gone mad with the onslaught of 'Rude' 'Arrogant' 'Amateurish' enquiries that have been made! I belived that the genuine enquiries would outweight the 'idiots' but sadly, that has not been the case. Whatever happened to genuine good manners and consideration for other peoples time and feelings. We all of us have 'stuff' happen that we don't plan for but a simple apology and consideration for the person on the other end of the deal wouldn't be too much to ask...............but reading this lot I think I've moved to another planet.........or missed something in the translation I agree with naming and shaming though, it helps the rest of us avoid the dissappointment or sheer waste of time and energy! Well done to 'horsegossip' for allowing this thread and well done to all of you who have had the courage to come on and let the rest of know.

I sell stable name plaques with stable name and show name on, additional fee for the show name, why do people not want to pay for it and then complain that they have not received the item...I also sell showing canes and brow bands, all hand made, hand painted and all jewels put on individually, but still people want to barter with the price.....
I also hate when you have agreed a price for and item (such as a horsebox) only to find they have relisted as they think they can 1 get away with it and 2 you wont notice....
Honesty is my policy and i just wish others would have the same one....

Where can I post info to complain about a member? I purchased a tweed jacket in April and emailed and messaged the seller several times. She cashed cheque and eventually replied to me last week maintaining she posted jacket weeks ago. I have asked her for confirmation of address..she can't remember...she forgot to put a return address on envelope and says she has lost receipt so I can't even lodge a complaint to Royal Mail about missing parcel and she now is not responding to my emails. First time I buy from this forum having always used ebay in the past so wonder what is the complaint procedure as my seller is not taking any responsiblity and I'd like to report her.

TOM1 AGAIN - both my saddler and I pulled out all the stops for back in February to get a show browband made and delivered in time for a show with the promise that he would pay make a bank transfer as soon as he get home that evening if I could put in in the post that dayI therefore sent the browband in good faith. Despite his comments that the browband was brilliant and all the promises to pay I received nothing. When chasing it up I was then told that that payment had been made and the bank transfer would take a few days ~(checked with the bank this apparently is not the case it just takes a few hours at the most). When chasing the payment up againb I was told by TOM1 the money had been lost between banks. I asked him to chase this up as I could not - nothing. He then promised to send it back as he would not pay for it twice (I was never paid for it once!) and despite my reminders the browband has never been returned.
I sent messages via HG + Facebook kindly asking for payment or return of the browband only to be ignored and then deleted as a friend!!! I contacted the mods on HG who contacted TOM1 in June - they were told that the browband did not fit - I was never told this and why did it take him 4 months to find this out?. TOM1 promised the Mod he would send it back - it has never arrived - it is not the money anymore but the principle. Please do not be tricked by TOM1, he will tell you lies and and promises that he has no intention of keeping - BEWARE TOM1[/b

Here's one for you. Preben Russell, Danruss Stud Denmark. Agreed a price of £2,400 for the mare to be paid in three annual instalements. Came over, was very welcomed here, brought us all a gift each and stayed in touch with loads of e-mails for months on end. First two payments came - no problem. Then the mare foaled, he registered the foal and has since ignored all my calls and e-mails and is now 9 months late with the last payment. I wasn't going to "go public" but i have since heard that I am not the only one so I WILL name and shame HIM - Preben Russell, Danruss Stud, Denmark.

I recently held on to 2 rugs I was selling on here but a girl contacted me via the Facebook version and said she will definitely come on Monday as that is when she gets paid so I agreed and have told people these said rugs are sold. Monday came.....and went....do I contacted her to ask why she didn't turn up....nothing. About 11pm Monday night i got a message (we were to meet at 6.30 Monday at my yard) and she said she got caught up can she come Wednesday so I sai that was fine, these things happen! And so arranged for Wednesday at 6.30....again this came and went and I had no responses to messages and no message to say she couldn't come. I messaged to say I was no longer holding them as I could have sold them 5 times over and she still didn't respond, but has updated her fb statuses and commented on things etc. a "sorry I'm no longer wanting them" would have been nice....

When I'm selling a horse I insist on a sizeable deposit and make it clear the only way that deposit will be returned is if horse should fail a vetting. Failure to give me a deposit means horse is still for sale. I have been messed around in the past but this policy has solved the entire problem.

Just need to vent a bit of frustration....... I paid for some jod boots back on 18th November via my bank account, seller forgot to post them, then sent them to herself by putting the return label on the stamp side, has said she has sent them, but doesn't have a tracking number and no proof of postage has been offered. Said would refund money, not replied to my PMs and no money received. So far I haven't got mad, but have now purchased another pair so am out of pocket still.

I sold a measuring stick to someone on horsegossip. Took it post office and sent first class with receipt. Member was fantastic as it never arrived (I sent my accounts at the same time and they didnt arrive either). I kept offering to refund the money but kindly the member waited. I complained to the post office and they sent me some stamps! I refunded the HG members money but a post office receipt is a waste of time. Unless its under a tenner I send parcel force every time.......

I just want everyone to be aware, I sent a cheque to purchase a straight bar snaffle bit from KLARINA, and have since learned she has also "sold" it to at least one other person.
Obviously if she has "sold " her list of items to as many people as want to buy she will be stealing quite a large amount of money.
Perhaps if everyone declares what they have paid for we can get together and give statemements concerning what is obviously a nasty fraud. I have her address and have every intention of using it when I have sufficient evidence.
