I have tried twice to buy a two ring gag from this site first time from "jester 13" lot of messaging then said her husband posted and did not get proof of postage never replied to messages never got bit or refund! next time "Krissey" responded to wanted ad posted her the cheque said she had received never got bit or refund her account was then locked so I expect she has done this to a few people only £10 to each person but still annoying On a positive note I have successfully sold and bought other items but would like to make others aware of the 2 above

Why oh why do they do it?? Yes, she wanted to buy - could I keep them until she got paid next week, she'd pay by paypal - no problem - paypal invoice sent for the following week. Did she pay!! No, I phoned her after a week ..... oh my goodness she had been on holiday for a week and moved house but she'd pay in her lunch-hour!! Has she? what do you think!!

I had someone wanting to buy my saddle, not sure if she has horsegossip but she said her friend saw it on here. At first she was texting all the time and keeping in contact, she sent the money IN THE POST which i obviously never recieved, waiting a couple of weeks to see if it turned up and then she said she would do a bank transfer instead, 2 weeks later had heard nothing from her and still no money. All in all wasted 4 weeks trying to sell my saddle. Not impressed.

I think it's best to sell stuff on eBay, it's so easy ! I've been buying and selling on there for years and never had a problem. Everything that I have sold has been paid for and I would highly recommend it.

Is there a facility to name and shame people who take money and then ignore all messages and dont hear from them again???
I have been sitting in silence for 10 days since i paid via paypal for 2 items and despite seeing that the user had logged on since have not had any response at all?
its disgraceful - if i dont get a reply by the weekend i shall be making a phonecall - people forget that the internet is a wonderful thing and it is very easy to track people down with a bit of googling - you have been warned!! LOL

As still no muzzle and no refund. They are replying to messages tho, but not doing what they say they will!

I have never bought or sold anything on Horse Gossip - I suppose its difficult either way, if you send cheques you may never see the goods, and if the buyer or seller live a distance away you cannot see the goods on Sale --- I agree its probably better to sell on Ebay - I sold a saddle - the people were delighted and I recvd my money no problem - such a shame people have to mess others about

SOLOMAN has twice told me she would send a cheque for an item and it has never appeared as I bought items on the strength of this. Disappointed.

No idea why but ADAM321PINK Kept telling me over the course of a month they had sent me the greenguard muzzle they had Offered me and it never ever arrived. Even though they apparently sent 2 as the first one never came. A great tale teller! Shame because they seemed nice and genuine and even sent emails apologising all the time. A bit like ANNDAVIDS who I never got a refund or item from. Just spoils it for all the honest buyers/seller!

Ponymum contacted me to buy a rug from me, took my bank details, insisted she only wanted it to go via the cheapest postage - which was fine by me, however its now been over a week and no message with her address and no message to say she had paid the money into my account. Now why did you asked for my bank details if you were not going to purchase the item?!

I have to laugh - Ponymum has complained on 'name and shame' about someone who has not sent her items...makes me wonder if she has even paid for them!

I don't think it matters where you advertise, there will always be the ones who ask you for more pics, details etc & never get back to you..agree, would be nice if, after you'd sent them everything they asked for they came back and said, sorry, it's not for me...at least that would be some kind of closure...also, I too have bought rugs on ebay, paid for them then they never arrived. It would appear that if sellers don't like the price their items sold at, they don't bother sending then say they got lost in the post & give you a refund.....then a couple of weeks later they readvertise the very same item!!! :-(

I know we are all Entitled to change our minds, but please have courtesy! I've had a member on here sending me messages that she definitely wants to buy my jacket (after emailing pics measurements etc...). It had a couple of marks on it. She said if I had it cleaned and they came out she'd definitely have it (fair enough). So, I paid for it to be cleaned and it's pristine. Sent pics to show "buyer". No reply. Sent text message and got response that yes she definitely wanted it (so turned down other buyers out of decency!). Awaited payment but heard no more. Eventually I rang her, even though I didn't want to pressure her if she was struggling for finances but wanted the jacket ! She hung up on me after saying hello and me introducing myself. I rang back, thinking maybe she'd got cut off, but it then went straight to voicemail when she didn't answer. I then sent text saying I couldn't hold the jacket indefinitely, but didn't want to sell it if she wanted it. I've had no response at all, which is not only rude but has lost me other customers... The same lady has wanted ads for various other showing items - I wish other sellers better luck with her than I had!

Debbie, put it on eBay, it is free to list, and much less hassle than dealing with random enquiries. You only pay a commission to eBay if it sells. I'll show you how to do it if you want
