We are in on Sunday with 2 pugs but I will only be 9 days off my due date so we are taking bets if we get there at the moment. It's not so much the showing it's the walk from and to the car that will do me in. Our trolley doesn't fit on the bus!!!!

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his Tongue.

Im not going this year for the first time in years. I usually go to watch the terriers. I was a little disappointed last year, there just didnt seem to be as much there.

I've been watching it on TV and looking forward to another two hours of it again tonight. I liked the top terrier last night though it seemed to lack sparkle to me (all of them bar one did). I was rooting for the little (very nervy) Staffie - I think she could have won that had she been a little bolder because the judge definitely seemed to like her a LOT.
Speaking of judges what did stand out to me last night was the amount of hugging between judge and (winning) handlers very much in evidence. I'd at least prefer them to contain themselves to doing it outside the arena if they must. Publicising how well they appear to know each other ..and in the glare of TV cameras too...I can't see exactly improving opinions as to how cliquey dog showing can be.
I think a warm handshake or even a brief kiss is quite sufficient. No need to hug like long lost relatives or lovers.

I will have my fingers very tightly crossed for the Boxer tonight. Im pretty certain a Boxer has never won BIS and I think Winuwuk Lust at First Sight deserves it as he is a wonderful example of the breed

I should support the GSD as it's from Weymouth (I live in West Dorset) but I LOVE the Flat Coat, we had one years ago & he was a super dog, came from Battersea!! (yes I do mean the Dogs Home). It's a good many years since a Flat Coat won BOS at Crufts.
