What lovely pics!! And how adoring is that look from John? She is obviously a very special little dog fulfilling lots of needs. SHSS - you need some teazles in your garden (apart from the real one) - goldfinches love the seed! Take care

Thanks Lukey (you can do the tecchie stuff which I simply cannot!) - and thanks everyone for your very lovely comments. Teazle is indeed one very specicial little person.
Her registered name is 'Courtview Trust and Love'. A lengthy handle for a very small dog, but she lives up to her Breeder Paul Brightwell's expectations.
Today, I was pottering about in the garden at the hosp with John wandering around somewhere in the garden - and Teazle out there too. One of the patients is a diminutive Spanish lady who came into the garden with her husband. She loves Teazle - her husband asked could they walk her - so off she went with them.
Later, A knock came from the other Day room patio door (there are two day rooms) - and two of the patients with a nurse wanted to see Teazle. So, I let her in, in the care of the nurse and carried on gardening. She was cuddled and kissed and was in full acceptance of the situation.
She does sleep when she's back home though. Bless.

Oh these pics are gorgeous! I remember meeting a very young Teasle at HOYS xx Gosh yes! She was tiny and all wrapped up inside my jacket as "dogs" wern't supposed to be in there! I remember Madge Taylor saying "ahh, but Daxie's are different, they're not just dogs"!! (ie: how to get round the rules!) Teazle made a lot of friends that day.

What a fabulous little dog. Such rich colouring.
Love them all but think the solo stance on the beach is extra special, as is the first one with John.

Teazle says "thank you" for all these lovely comments about her!!!
She gives such comfort in the hospital ward, not only to her 'daddy' John, but to other patients, who are able to see something to smile at and (in the case of many) give a shower of kisses to. They just love her ears....... so tactile. She goes bounding up to the door from the car (I can leave her loose, if I'm carrying things like clothes for John) and, for all that the patients must smell much the same (institutionalised) she can detect wherever he is.......
The pic on the beach is probably the nearest she'll ever get to being a 'show dog' - but - who needs a show dog when they have a Teazle. I'm very blessed.

If I could (maybe julie/lukey could help again, please!!) I'd put up a pic of Teazle's new friend.
No longer is this a 'one dog' household. nor is it a house-hold. It's a "Dachshund-hold" and I live in it and pay the bills.
Yes, I've aquired an other (also a 'Cosford' doggie) who is called Phoebe. A mummy who can't have any more babies, so she needed a home. We decided to try it for a month to see if Teazle accepted the newcomer. Three and a half weeks in, they get along famously.

God Bless and sleep tight, my dearest and most precious little Teazle. Words fail me, there is just a huge gaping hole in my heart. Thank you for all your love, companionship and support throughout these awful years with John, your 'daddy' being so ill.
And thank you for the thousands of miles you have travelled with me, your patience at shows and meetings, your fun, your woofing and and your cheeky times, too.
Poor Pheebs is as bereft as I am. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Modified to add -
'Courtview Trust and Love'. "Teazle" to her friends. Bred at Cosford by Paul and Margaret Brightwell.
