Avoid at all costs. Avoid at all costs. Ask those at Bath and West Ridden M and M classes I wish I had read this before going to D&D last Saturday Other judge there (Mrs R Haddow) was even worse.

Does anyone know Ms R Eastwood, she is judging the Olympia at the Dales breed show, and I was wondering if it was worth us making the long trip up there?

We saw it was her judging and we are not going. I suspect entries will be low so maybe worth the trip?? Hopefully your girl can qualify elsewhere though guest1, she definatly deserves it.

Hope u r right about Mr Fry have already heard who is going to qualify in one particular section (nothing to do with Mr Fry I might add) hope he will encourage all classes to be judged on the day! Um - sounds like a viscious rumour to me. Perhaps you would like to go public on your prediction "Angry" if you are so sure. Mr Fry hasn't been used for a judge in some top qualifiers purely because he is so straight - and Bob Templeton - who knows - can't remember when I saw him judging last. Remember - HOYs have two judges and the marks will be there for everyone to see. It is sure to be an interesting qualifier and may the best ponies win on the day

Hello Fans................just got back from the Wild Witching Wock Concert in Transilvania...... had a lovely time.....met some seriously magical witches and wizards, plus a 10 foot hairy giant... and girls it is true what they say.......big men with big hands, can't thread needles.... ;D Unfortunately my balls have been badly man-handled by Air Transilvania... and are somewhere between here and there, so I have had to go back to my old faithful tarrots, not as accurate I hear you scream, but lets give them a go........... Must wait until nightfall, when the stars can give me guideance....

Thats a shame, ppl shouldn't stay away, it then makes it sooo much easier for the wrong pony to qualify. If you go and do your best in the ring, and a favour is still done, use this site ti air your greivances. A lot of judges and officials look at this site. Remember the saying "Knowledge is Power". It can get better, but it wont if ppl dont go. lol

Tycoon Why waste money? not being nasty but continuing to show under suspect judges will only serve to continue the "favors" being dished out to their friends. Vote with your feet thats the only way.

Unfortunately not all of us can afford to throw money away either. I don't mind when I am well beaten (and I frequently am!) but I get very agitated when it is obvious that the judge is placing faces first, then the "normal" showing people next. I have to work hard to earn enough money to show, and I would rather go to shows where I feel the judging will be fair.

I have never been judge by ML, but have been by JW and she has always been extremely fair both in workers and ridden. She has always gone for good conformation, and correctness topped with good manners, maybe you should reserve judgement until after the event! They may prove everyone wrong and judge a true class! There has to be some straight judges still out there!

What about the others through to the championship who suddenly found the judge had changed. As this was a breed show presumably a lot of people would have had to travel a considerable distance to attend. there seems to be quiet a distance between being straight and being seen to be straight in some of the judging we are seeing at the moment

Don't know what the exhibitors thought, but if they weren't happy with the unknown as yet substitute judge what couid they do other than withdraw their ponies!!!!

To be fair to the judges, the exhibitors should not show under them if there is "any" connection at all! It puts everyone in a difficult position!

Well, looks like some predictions were accurate. BT's dartmoor won&qualified today, very few in the class, think about 5, so maybe deserved to win anyway.

How can it be then that ML rode a pony at the Royal Highland Show for the same owner/breeder of the pony that qualified for HOYs this weekend under him and JW. Surely that's not right or am I missing something.

Sorry I know you lot have many valid points BUT the highland that ML rode at RHS may have been bred by the winner on Saturday but in has been owned by J. Stiles of Newbury for 3 years
PS I have no connections just know the facts
