I think Beverly Geisha Girl will win the 14.2s as it looks fabulous atm and went fantastic at Lincoln. Sorry Sunshine 90210, Beverly Geisha Girl may well be a lovely pony but I personally do not think it is in the same league as Rosebery Highland Fling and Radway All Talk who I can't really separate at the moment.

Sorry dont like the small trad of amblers at all, nothing personnal just think there are miles better examples out there! Speaking of which would nt say Jackie Beatham was fair the day she was handing out tickets for hoys coloureds at the BSPS winters ! I agree I was dumbfounded when she called that out Chantilly Lace? Is she going? B-e-a--u-tiful pony and is just STUNNING, hope it does as well as last year.

At the end of the day Radway All Talk is a nice pony but for me it's not fine enough and don't think it moves as nice as others.
It also depends who the judge owes a favour to, as i've heard sp judges are very facey.

Just seen that the 12.2 that I predicted to do well at RIHS in an earlier post - Deanhills Sweet Rhapsody - was champion SP at the Royal on Sunday. I have no idea who the SP judges are at RIHS - (I know I could look them up on the website)- but as I am just going as an independent spectator it makes no odds with me.

I doubt that Ri will be making an appearance at the RIHS as he has qualified before and not gone so i don't think that he will go this year. i heard he cut his leg or something like that and couldnt go last year ...but apparantly wanted to go as its the only big one he hasnt won yet...hope he goes ..and hope he wins !! Cant remember ever seeing Team Avery there before so you could be right .....they live very close to me and we go every year ..not too far for us...our favourite party show !!!

Yes I was told he was kicked in a rather unmentionable place although not sure how true that is!
Poor Ri and his manhood!

Radway All Talk only wins cos of who its produced by it also lacks quality against others i dont think it the best on the circuit- it may have won hoys last year, but some people commented that it did not deserve it, there are lots of other nice 14.2 out there as well , every time i have seen it this year and back end of last it looks hot and have seen it play up. The sp classes are very hard classes to compete in and some very strange judging goes on, your face has to fit.....

there are some nice 14.2's out there .....
but he has always been consitent and at the top ...
who ever he has been produced or ridden by ...
its not a pony that is once sold then disapeared down the line !
i disagree with your comment i think he is a lovely stamp of pony and obviously alot of judges agree with me!
but we are all entitled to our own opinion

I think we can safely say that some ponies that win at hoys do not deserve it and only win because of who is with them.
Personally i think judges should focus more on the pony and not the face behind it, and with Radway All Talk the face fits most of the time.
As for Radway All Talk it may have won hoys last year but to me it definately doesn't deserve to beat Roseberry High Fling.

Show Ponies - Radway All Talk looks absolutely stunning, and it along with Mountcaulfield Freedom are the best about at the moment. They still have to perform on the day, but if I was owning one 14.2hh for a day for RIHS, they are the two I would go for!
As regards the 12.2hh mentioned above it's very pretty but it's movement isn't as correct as it should be - viewed from a particular angle - and the judge would normally look from there!
Don't know anything about the RIHS judges preferences, but 15hh SHP Broxwood Star is lovely, as is Hamptonne Fair and Square and I am a fan of Laurient Perrier too. 14hh looks a strong class - lot of nice ones about at the moment - wouldn't be surprised if Champ doesn't come from that class (if Chloe and Jasper don't do it yet again!)

rosebery highland fling for me keep forgetting to watch my own pony when i see that! i love radway all talk too and weve been against it about 5 times this year never seen it looking hot or playing up, there was a piece in the h & h a couple of weeks ago said they were home produced (i know they go to shows with a producer) because the girl does home studies

Do you own him then .... there is plenty out there to beat him, the 14.2 is the strongest class ,it probably only goes under judges it can win and the gold buttons and red flower really stand out, does not wear that for the 13.2- if only judges would judge the pony and not the face the world would be a lot happier....

I have seen both the 14.2s you are talking about and both stand out from the crowd, why shouldn't the jockeys wear something that sets them apart afterall no one moans about Julie Ts black jackets. I think both girls look very smart, but have noticed that alot of jockeys wear flowers and brass buttons. It will be a close run thing this year at the RI and Hoys, and should make it a good competition as both are worthy winners.

i think the 14.2's will be a great great class lucky judges who get to judge such nice ponies. Both Freedom, All Talk and highland fling in my eyes are lovely stamps of 14.2 sp I guess it will just come down to the day and personal preference. I also think the thomases 13.2 will do well a very beautiful pony that moves effortlessly and Judy Harveys is also in with a shot. Its lovely so see the sp classes full of quality again and i would think the championship will be fab to watch. No idea on the m&ms never heard of either judge, i'm just looking forward to riding my b again! Really will be last time :-( But i do love Ri and be nice to see him win. I also love the section B Katy Carter produces. Intermediate wise who knows just hope it is an intermediate and not a re-run of the 14.2 class! I would like to see Carmen, King, Royal Silk and one that was 2nd at hoys last year (forgot the name!) do well as all true stamps of int. Also i just hope anyone like me who is in their last year can just come out with a smile on their faces!! Larges i love Gentle Breeze but also think Moschino is outstanding. Hunter ponies well would like to see Jasper retain his title but i love Adam Winbournes 13hh and the one Jack Starkey rides. Warleigh Small Talk also looks fab this year with the little jockey on. 14hh still love Rotherwood Maybe and also the Rowanoak Next Generation. 15hh Pretoria and Laurent Perrier. Good luck to all lest hope the weather picks up!!

I agree with Clobo. I also hope the srt will be won by a true intermediate not a 14.2 sp. Getting fed up with them taking most of the classes. Out of eight hoys qualifiers five have qualified. It looks like they will be having two classes at hoys.

Chantilly Lace will win the coloureds hands down - even if she only goes half as well as she did at Myerscough at area 5. There was nothing else in the class to touch it.
Last year whens he was competing I didnt really notice her going round with the others, this year She really stands out and is going absolutely fantastic.

14.2 sp ... roseberry highlandfling and all talk - personally i prefer all talk ... roseberry pony is looking quite chunky through the neck 4 me! but it is an outstanding pony!
intermediates - wud love to see a true intermediate win it like the other people above... and would say gentle breeze is fab this yr... wud love to see it win!!
13.2sp - will probs be thomas's but i dont think its anything special .. the face behind it helps...
12.2sp - charn kingfisher should have won it in 2003 along with hoys.. it was the best about then! - won everything else!! - however in my opinion is looking abit old nowbut will do well! thomas's 12.2 is a nice pony and so is safron suprise - nice - 2 definate contenders! salaman -- again looking older like fisher but will do good if they can keep the lid on it!
14 shps - not a strong class i dont think... v.poor class compared to what it used to be.. half of them arn't TRUE hunter ponies no more... was v.strong about 2 yrs ago... but rotherwood maybe may get it!
13hander - rhapsody but wud be nice to see another do it!
12 handers - thomas's

Would love to see chloe chubb at the top of the line on her b Lemonshill Firebird. I love that pony. Also don't think anything can touch castle ri. Love Glenwood Caradog as still think he can out perform the best of them.
