MY GOSH! This site! Some people should get a life...stop the bit*hing and do something with their own ponies rather then slag off others. Maybe then their hard work schooling rather than hard work bit*hing will pay off! Yes producers do win. Yes producers work flipping hard. Hard work = Success. Jelousy is a NASTY NASTY thing...It will more than certain come back and bite you on the behind!! Good luck to those who have qual 4 the RI...I'm sure all your hard work will pay off X

I think Waxwing Pastille will win the M&M LR class. Lovely pony, always seems super mannerly and home produced (I think?), or playing it safe my "second winner" Ekens Fifer.
M&M FR Got to be Waxwing Paint Box
Good luck to all

Yes I think the Laceys and their other clients competed in the Lee Smith Home Produced classes at the PUK Winter champs. Makes a mockery of the definition of home produced in my opinion i agree, and im sure i've seen one of the gilbert-scotts riding all talk at 3 counties...

C Gilbert-Scott went into the ring to, i think, all talk in the small intsrt and it was her that rushed to the commentator to correct him that that pony had already qualified after it dropped a place. She def. went into the ring dressed to groom. I dont see how allowing 14-2 into ints encourages riders to leave the safety net of pony world and out into the big world which is surely one of the aims of it.

I haven't seen them not strip it to be honest in the classes i have been in but i don't really know what the issue is here? Yes they help them but thats their arrangement and as long as it doesnt breach any rules (home prouduced etc) don't see why they shouldn't. All Talk is a lovely horse and has proved that with whoever has done him. Let's stop singling him out and go back to the original thread of predictions.

well said. producers work so hard i know cus my mum is one and she is out there working the ponies to perfection. yes it helps to be well known but most of the time all the "producers" ponies go so well and are schooled amazingly so if everyone was to work as hard as them and stop all this bit*hing maybe you would get as good as them. i never thought showing was so bit*hy until i got told about this site it is so pathetic everyone is just going to far.

Just learn to be a bit nicer and keep thoughts to yourself !

The professionals horses are the best (apart from the Keen's who are simply the best), and their horses way of going, turnout and the overall picture is perfect. I am never one to complain when a professionsal wins. If the combination deserve the place they got then i am always so happy for them and i like to see a placing well deserved. However what about when a horse/pony wrong leg's it, and still gets placed or even wins? I saw this happen at HOYS last year in the Small Hacks. Just because they are professional, this doesn't mean they still deserve a place. If this had happened to an amateur then they wouldn't have been placed. Half the time the judges are too scared to drop the horses, in case it happens to them in another class. Sometimes it genuinely is unfair. It would be the same if an amateur was placed and their horse went badly/wrong legged...it would be fair to drop this horse. It doesn't make a difference amateur or pro, if the horse did something really wrong a place shouldn't be awarded. Especially at HOYS!!!! I cannot for the life of me think which horse did something wrong and was not penalised for it in the Small Hack class last year. We had a horse in the class and thought it had been judges fairly? Perhaps I was looking away at that point!!

hope they've changed the stewards for the Top Spec as one of last year's has two of their breeding qualified. why should that have any relevance - a steward is there to do a particular job and shouldn't have to declare any form of interest...or am I missing something? In fact I would love to steward in a class and perhaps hear directly what the judge thought of a pony I had bred (without s/he knowing I had bred it obviously!)

We all heard from the coursebuilder that the jump steward commented on each round. If it was to be the same steward and if she does have association with ponies in this final she should do the honorable thing and step down. Hickstead use NPS and HOYS stewards who have nothing to do with any of us competing and who must be the most experienced stewards out there. Hope RIHS make the decision to use their own stewards then there'll be no room for criticism. Who'd want to judge with a steward assocaited with ponies anyway?

Woahh you guys! word gets around so i had a look on here and you seriously know how to bring people down. it would be so nice if you said this to some people's faces. Emily Lacey is a lovely girl and whatever you all say she works her arse off for her ponies, and you can't take the praise she needs for that away for her. i agree we all do, but Emily deserves the results she gets, and not this bit*hing.
I am just praying the weather stays nice for wednesday otherwise knowing my luck i will be covered in mud. I hope fifer wins the lead rein as its been so lovely to see him grow up as i rode him as a four year old for Mandy. i also would love to see Anna Salter win the 14.2s as she never gets enough luck.
I think there is so much pressure now on what's going to win and what's gonna do what. i think it would be nice for everyone to have a good time, and not get worked up about things, atleast you got there!
good luck and well done to everyone who has got there. x

Whoever you are samba you should watch what you are saying I cannot imagine for one minute the course builder would ever comment on any remarks passed by judge or steward.

Well said to a few comments on here. I do love All Talk and yes i do see Carol doing it at everyshow, but i have never seen them do a home produced class. I also think that producers do well because of the amount of time they have but i also think it sometimes comes down to who they know. Im not saying this about anyone in particular like Emma Holder as i know this wouldnt be the case. Before i start of another row.
WHP: I think Bobby Sox and Emmie Collier will do very well, had a great season so far. Would also love to see Stan do well as he is my fav whp. Not sure about 13hh as havnt really watched many, same with the 15hh however my fav is Cadre Noir if he has qualified (im sure he has.)
SHP: I love Adam Winbournes three he has, they are lovely, think they will do well. I think Maybe will win the 143, probs Jasper the 133shp (however Adam's is a close contender)
SP: Umm, maybe All Talk or Highland Fling (lovely pony). 128 i like the one of the girl who has Hindleap Choir Boy.
