Definitely, couldn't agree with you more. I actually don't think that there is ANY coloured on the circuit half as good as her
Well there are coloureds as good as her, they're just no where near as 'switched on' as she is. These are Pure guesses what I like and think will do well if they go: Under 143cm Mixed I think Millpond Look at me. Highest Placedd trad Star Of Michleane (if he goes). Between 143 and 153 cm plaited I think Shybont Braodways dazzling moment or Up 2 D (if she goes) Between 143 and 153 cm not plaited like I said Chantilly Lace (&Champion) Light Weight Ridden Horse will go to The Puzzle Master Middle Weight Ridden Horse will go to Endevour Large NCT Dunno??? Jasper Bailey or perhaps So Smart (if either of them go) Champion Horse : The Puzzle Master Over all Champ : Chantilly Lace Res Champ : The Puzzle Master

Thank you for your lovely comments on Lacey. I just wish that they come true! The RIHS is such a special, prestigious show that unfortunatly my nerves get the better of me so I think a few pimms before I go in will be a must!! If I do half as well as Pippa did last year I will be pleased. Thanks again but DONT JINX ME!! x

I think caradog is a beautiful pony, it will just be a shame if it goes a bit more like an open than a first ridden.

"What if anything has happened to the Hoods this year? do they have any horses for this year? " Perhaps they are having difficulty getting out and about as Hoodies seem to banned from most places

I believe they have an amazing new large hack yet to be seen. They have champion riding horse from windsor + reserve hunter champion from windsor. They have some beautiful youngsters which may be next seasons superstars. Plus they dont overshow like many oher professionals!!

What if anything has happened to the Hoods this year? do they have any horses for this year? I have seen Allistair at the top of many lines this yr. I absolutely adore their large RH, if i could own one horse from the whole of the showing scene this year, that would be my pick.

I reckon Bow River will win the MW hunters - not a big fan of it but.... Obviously Silverstream for the HW Hullabaloo for the hairy pony class for the coloureds - it is one of my favs! Though chantilly Lace or Longdon domino will probably win it guessing Endeavour might win the MW, though there are nicer... Would love Heathershedge Eurovision to get it though LWs Just Dandy - it is gorgeous! Ummm, probably Up-To-D for the plaited ponies or Sybonts Broadways Dazzling Moments, though its not looking as good as it has been. And as for the under 14h, it will be one of the many 12hh that have qual's Oh and large heavies ummm girl thingy Galore

He has qual but he's not going this year as his owner/rider has recently recovered from a serious illness and she decided it was too far to travel..... he will be at hoys though!

I saw that little coloured pony Maryanne at Lincoln - Superb - should win RIHS and it went soo well - some of the small 12.2 coloureds go like first riddens - that one goes and stops and really enjoys herself

I cannot believe the amount of nasty, catty comments among the RIHS predictions, especially regarding the SP classes.... any judge worth his/her salt should be able to see through brass buttons, big flowers red ribbons etc and you can't blame competitors for trying to do something slightly different to attract the judges eye. I believe some judges can be facey but surely if a pony is consistently successful the team behind it must be doing something right and the pony must be worthy!..... Jealousy is a terrible thing!!

there dont seem to be as many outstanding section b's out this year, and as the b's are with the c's i think a c may get the class, there seem to be some nice c's about. also a b has won it for the last two years.
in the small section i think delami destiny, glenwood caradog southerly red ember and waitwith west wind are all lovely.
good luck to everyone!

I have to agree with SP the face does have to fit, ive seen Radway All Talk on a number of occasions this season and it does look stunning but i have to say it has rarely behaved and has blown many good pulls at big county shows such as East of England and Royal windsor not 2 mention various others but was also told it was naughty at bath and west but the face obviously fitted and it won despite its behavoir. But i do believe if this pony does behave it stands a very good chance as does Rseberry Highland Fling.

He is produced from home but they have grooms and are assisted by the gilbert-Scott sisters.

I know for a fact that the gilbert - scotts often visits the people who own him on a regualr basis and play a large roll in the production at home such as lessons n general scholling of the pony as well as at a show where they always are there to plait up, work in, strip the pony and generally get the pony ready aswell as the rider therefore are not homeproduced!

but the gilbert scotts help quite a few families dont they? are they all classed as home produced even though in effect the ponies are being produced? not interested in starting an argument over this, just wondering about home produced rules.

Just read the comments about brass buttons etc, reminded me of 3 counties. Was watching witha friend who shows mainly in hand. The show ponies were gathering in the collecting ring ready for the lead rein class. She thought they all looked like they were going marching in a band!!! Had to agree, all the mums were in navy with red trims and gold buttons!!!

I'm sure the rules regarding home produced ponies are easy to look up..... but the general feeling in comments above are, if anyone recieves help ie. grooms, trainers etc, they are not home produced...... does that mean I'm a professional? CRIKEY!!!

A Producer, trainer or groom cannot help a person competing in a homeproduced class atall at a show this includes driving the lorry, plaiting, working in and the general production of the horse and jockey at a show or have pony in a producers yard or jockey to ride a producers pony.

Thank you Betty... that seems quite simple to understand!...... Has Radway All Talk been competing in home produced classes???

Yes I think the Laceys and their other clients competed in the Lee Smith Home Produced classes at the PUK Winter champs. Makes a mockery of the definition of home produced in my opinion

I've just had a giggle at the 'marching band' show pony leaders! As a new show pony leader mum, I will be making my debut in 2 classes at Hickstead wearing my new blue skirt with brass buttons but may steer away from the totally red jacket - there will of course be a red trim!!!

Radway all talk is home produced through and through just because it comes out and wins everything you can,t resist to bit*h about something get a life Most of the Gilbert-Scott clients have grooms including the Laceys and even other producers working for them at home. The ponies are not done at shows by the mummies although the Edwards mum looks very hands on and drives her lorry.
