Leave out the second line girls and you'll sound genuine Sam must surely now be a record breaking jockey qualifying more breeds than anyone else? Congratulations to a really hard worker. Well done Willoway, Julia Ryde-rogers and NPS Wessex for qualifying "one of their own"

Re. the WHP heights - bear in mind that with the awful weather, the course builder may have been worried about how well the ground would hold up and hence reduced the heights accordingly. I'm sure he didn't want to be responsible for any nasty falls!

Why cant everyone just be pleased for sam ? She works bloody hard and rides peoples ponies for buttons and thats just because she loves what she does, give her a break i ve never once heard her bit*h or be anything other than nice in her wins or losses. I hope you dont come on here sam and read all the nasty things but if you do, heres a genuine well done for all you achieve

The ground was perfect when he built the course at lunchtime and the ring had stood up very well to the ridden M&M in the morning. The ground was drying out well as the day went on and the forecast was for sun. There was NO reason for such a small pathetic course.

With reference to the WHP heights.
Yes i can see your point about the ground holding out, but believe it or not the ground had fantastic jumping conditions in the whp ring.
The course was uninspiring and yet again in the 12hh section there were a million and one clear rounds. I know that there are little ones jumping these courses but these are HOYS qualifiers and the course should be testing and technical and have some height to them to sort the wheat from the chaff and get the best M and M hunter ponies at HOYS.
Week after week I'm seeing ponies jumping around a basic course and qualifying and surprise surprise when they come to a decent course most of these ponies don't get past the first 4 fences. It's quite horrific going to HOYS and watching ponies who've qualified over a basic course stopping at the first fence.
Being a massive hunting fan and watching these classes I do wonder where the "hunter" element has gone. There are only a handful of ponies on the circuit especially in the 12hh section I would class as "hunter" ponies.
It's a great shame that some judges don't have the heart to mark down ponies who jump round at a snails pace, breaking canter and show no boldness in their job.

just started to rain as we were leaving, ground is absolutley horrendus, i was going to spend the day there, but left at 10.30am, just watching the sec a's was enough to make me cringe, the judging was horrendus, you really could not tell what end of the line up was what........the class was delayed for nearly and hour, i know competitors are "lucky" that the show went ahead, but i am really glad i took the decision, to chuck my ponies out and wait for next season, where hopefully the weather will be better.

We are entered for the M&M HOYs FR tomorrow, but have decided to aim for RIHS instead on Friday, cannot face two days of mud in a row. I wonder how many other mini M&Ms will do the same?

despite the best efforts of the parking marshals. even the determined G.H. was forced to concede defeat to the fact that when 4 x 4s are being towed, a wheelchair doesn't work! quote] Can't help but feel a little selfish, we chose to go although mission impossible was not accomplished, when I see the mess in the midlands and people distraught in the state of their homes........we got back home with some muddy wheels but pony safe and sound and home bone dry. i might be a couple of hundred quid down, but I'll stand that any day over what some people are suffering, and yes, the parking people were brilliant and did their very best.

Thank you New Forest for having the nicest, politest, most hard working and hunky parking team EVER. They were "Simply the Best" and the unsung heroes of yesterday, today, maybe tomorrow & maybe next year.

JRR went in and stripped while her mum stayed outside. Just in case you have never noticed, her mum never grooms for her at the New Forest because she works on one of the stands & only pops over to watch! Well done Sam!

Thank you New Forest for having the nicest, politest, most hard working and hunky parking team EVER. They were "Simply the Best" and the unsung heroes of yesterday, today, maybe tomorrow & maybe next year. HERE HERE, especially when they are in overalls!!!!!! laying underneath the lorry trying to extract tons of mud which had adhered itself to the chassis, good on them, they all deserve a medal or whatever they want!!!!!! then I like the men in the tyre trucks that come to rescue us 10 mins outside the showground with a flat tyre, I have never been underneath a lorry with one of them before!! gives a whole new meaning to facial mud pack, then to top it all I love the mechanics that come to see us 30 minutes later to extract more mud from the wheels, tyres, brake calipers, brake pads chassis!!!! and then presents us the mud he cleaned up from the car park to take home! lovely eventually got home around 10.30 ish tired, hungry, thirsty, and exhausted!!!! great . Don't you just love showing!!! Roll on summer wherever it may be or have I blinked and missed it ?

I believe that Sam has been riding this pony all season. And why wouldnt JRR go in and strip the pony, after all she produces it!
