Well I think well done to all who braved it again at the new forest today and a big well done to gale for the hoys lr, when someone knows the winner of the Fr if they could post it on that would be great also be intereseted to know what the numbers were like as I know there was 40 entered in the lr, I bet it was at least half of that. So pleased that I stayed at home. To all thoses that did go hope you did have a good one and they returned safe and well!!

well done to those who braved it. but i have to say how disgusted i was to watch a poor girl try to literally dig her horse out of it's stable yesterday, while the so called ground crew sat and watched, useless louts. and as for driving tractors fast up and down the stable blocks this was out of order. the situation with the lorry park was ridiculous, they knew what the ground was like so why not get something in place before the show and before lorries sink to their axles, i'm sure the armed forces would have been only too pleased to help?? anyway well done to all who competed!

Sid Quest, as the owner of the 2nd placed pony in the lead rein class, I would like to know 'in your experience' why the pony should have been last?
He has consistantly won, has been placed, champion or reserve in all classes entered this year. Including being placed at NPS winter champs and qualifying for classes at this year's summer champs. Surely, all these judges couldn't have made such a dreadful mistake and been blind and stupid!
I am happy to discuss this matter personally with yourself and will provide a contact for you to approach me to discuss your statement made on this site!
Waiting in anticipation!

Each of the HOYS workers courses was up to the maximum allowed height and spread at most jumps, but I would agree the course looked small. The good little ponies made it look easy, but the other 2 classes had more problems, with only 7 clears in the large class (less than a third), and several established stars falling by the wayside. Faults were spread throughout the course, but a flagged hazard caused more trouble once the jumps got bigger. About a third were clear in the middle class.
The same course-builder produced 4 working hunter clears from 30+ competitors in the Main ring. He couldn't build them any bigger in the M&M HOYS classes without breaking the rules and the course jumped fairly with more questions than people realised.
