If I'd known my private phone call would be the first reporting of results on HG I'd have been more careful reporting further down the line! So sorry WM, and thrilled you got the ticket, your boy went beautifully I thought. I was marking up the catalogue as they announced them and after the initial excitement of winning must have misheard the numbers with no time to look up and check them in between. I don't hear too well anyway, and the PA system was not the best, with big bursts of static which I think Lexy heard down the phone as well! It did upset some of the entries too, sadly, I had great sympathy for anyone who was riding past one of the loudspeakers when they went off.
Some really lovely As in hand too, a treat to watch.

Ha ha, com'on mother you know I do my bit to report results when I can !! We got it clarified in the end anyway between us.
WM - yes he is def Sarah's baby !! Just as Angie (his big sis) is and before that Whisper (his dam) was too. Although he is only baby in age too as he is 6yr old this year and first year of big open shows.

Thank you Dollar for posting the results just to let you know that the 6th place in the C's was not Rhyd-ddu Glyndwr as he has been in the field all day in Northumberland and has just returned from a long hack out! His next outing is the Great Yorkshire next Wednesday well done to all the winners today I gather some lovely classes.

I find it amazing that people feel they are better at judging a class from outside the ring than the judge who is inside the ring! There is more than one criteria in the rh and hack classes and yes behaviour is extremely important the conformation ,ride and type is also important! The judge in the hacks rode all the horses and watched all their shows and looked at all their conformation .S he then made her decision b why do people feel they know more having not seen the horses close up or ridden them.I watched the class and yes the top one had one head throw in its show but went v well for the judge. I thought it was beautiful with lots of presence!

"I think anybody that criticises Ali Fernyhoughs judging needs to go home and think. She is still the most brilliant rider of hacks and riding horses, true expert on conformation and one of the very few straight judges."
