Hack champion was Katy and Silver Spray (Archie) well done Katy so nice to see you back in the saddle - he went fab! Large Hacks was won by Justine Armstrong-Small and Martin Skelton in 2nd, 9 forward in smalls and 5 in larges.

Whoops corrected to say there were 7 in the larges - need to correct my eyesight! Would also add lovely quality in all classes - nice to watch.

Hollycane, there are 17 smalls entered, 16 side saddle and 17 ladies astride. Today in the hacks and riding horse classes only about 6 to 8 came forward of about 18 to 21 entered.

I've got all the r/p breeding results here, but my return button is not working, so it may need to be read carefully! 128 broodmare, one forward, 1st Mrs C Highnam Hightopps China Doll. 138 broodmare, three forward, 1st Mrs PM Steed Langfield Finale (foal 1st also), 2nd Mrs D Webb Fiveacres Velvet girl thingycat (foal 3rd), 3rd Copybush Chit-Chat (foal 2nd). 148 one forward 1st Holtess little Sweet Melody (foal 1st). Yearling not to exceed138 two forward 1st Mrs M Scott Fidra Gold Finger, 2nd Mrs C Highnam Hightopps Saffron. Yearling not to exceed 148 - 3 entered 0 forward! 2 or 3 yr old not likely to exceed 138 seven forward 1st Moorhall Stud Moorhall Classical, 2nd Armstrong-Smalls Ottersbrook Princess Elizabeth, 3rd Fielden Stud Fielden Cotton Tail. 2 or 3 yr old not to exceed 148 two forward, 1st Lady Benton-Jones Daldorn Spring Thyme, 2nd Mrs J Thornton Diptford Daydreamer. Champion Holtess Little Sweet Melody, Res Daldorn Spring Thyme, Res res Fidra Gold Finger. PHEW!! I thought the champion was bob on, she looked and moved just fabulous, totally well deserved and well done to the Bond sisters, and that foal certainly gave them a run for their money, I'd have loved to have a proper look at it, but it never kept its feet on the ground for more than 2 seconds at a time!! The entries were really disappointing, and the numbers forward even more so, I was amazed to find out last sunday just how poor they were, but as everyone I knew was asking me if I knew anything about the judge it was to be expected, I dont think he was likely to do any favours, apart from the 2/3yrs under 138, where he seemed to totally lose the plot on some of the placings, I think he did a good job. I was also told today, that due to abyssmal entries over the last few years, they are considering amalgamating a lot of the above classes. There are 19 entries in the smalls and 17 in the B&C's welsh lover, the ground held up nicely today, there was a downpour of biblical proportions this morning apparently, but the ground needed it and did not seem holding or slippy.

It got a bit slippery after a sudden downpour but ground was fine in the afternoon. Does anyone know if the person who came off in the PBA was alright? Looked quite nasty!
