FFS. D1ckheads next door have just let a big firework off in their backyard, which is about 2 meters from the house. Not only did it nearly take the windows out it also frightened poor maggie who was trying to have a pee in my back yard at the same time. She shot in the house and upstairs at 100mph and is sat with frankie now vibrating (shaking). Bloody feckwits. I thought it was just the teenage lad and had just popped my head over the fence to tell him off when I noticed he had his dad there as well. So he got told off too. I wouldn't mind but we all have huge gardens as well as the little back yards for them to set the bloody things off in. What if frankie had been in the yard with Maggie? They could have both been bloody blinded. English is not their first language but i think I spoke the universal language of 'you bloody tossers, don't set fireworks off so close to the bloody house you feckwits'. And so the PMT continues

What IS wrong with people! What a waste of money these fireworks are as well. Did you hear the latest news, they think that terrible M5 crash was caused by smoke from the bonfire of a firework display drifting across the motorway. They should never have been allowed to hold any display near a motorway, you know how people get distracted looking over at such things. People are not allowed to have flood lights to their arena if they are next to a motorway because of the distraction so why fireworks. Someone ought to be held to account. Brindle you must be more confident with your body. If you put naked photos up, we could all be your Goks and tell you that you look great naked. viking where are the pictures of your leg?

not spitting blood Sagey.. just sad.... he was a grand horse who won thousands under rules.. left to rot in a field, a few of my friends got together and bought him and got him fit and ran him in point to point.. the loanees knew how much he meant to me, so am a bit disappointed they didn't tell me ... posted a pic of him in the "memorial thread"

Just been out to lock up the birds, that wind is whiping up, really cold and my husband of course has not repair the valve for the heating. He has been playing tractors all day long. For goodness sake, we do not go topping fields in November do we? not unless you have a new tractor to play with What time is Strictly on luke? Love it, but my daughter's boyfriend is coming to dinner so I can't have the telly on whilst we are eating, got to make small talk.

Viking, sit on edge of bath, put one hand on far side of bath edge, one hand next to you, gently slide/lower yourself into water bum first. Carefully swivel legs to end of bath with bad one on a rolled up towel. To exit empty water first, swing legs over edge of bath, lift with hands again onto edge and hey presto - bath.
Bliss when you're first allowed to take the boot off and wash the foot properly - although I did almost pass out when I saw the stitches and bruising.

We need a tractor Sagey! Wish you were closer to have a look at your old one x Don't watch strictly I'm afraid. Am looking forward to the last downtown abbey later though ;D A friend has lent me the first series to watch, but I'm waiting until this one has finished, as you all know how easily confused I get!

viking that is great exercise as described by haggis. Your leg will be as weak as a kitten and all skinny when you get your boot off, but your triceps will be enormous and your bingo wings will be no more.
Is it itchy viking?

evening all, ah dazy shame about your boy, they should have told you.... am lucky to sell my boy so quickly, have found him a lovely home in sussex..( the new owners niece has his half brother so knows his breeding etc) think as well that horses need to be realisticaly priced in this current market so was sensible in what I asked for him. am on the look out for a show cob that is sane , sensible can look after me in a show ring to improve my confidence that is not too expensive lol hugs to all those that need them xx

You are right starlight. My instructor was saying just this week that she has sold five horses this year. She breeds a few and she sometimes events them a bit before selling. She said it was all down to being realistic about the price.

Dazy what a horrible way to find out about your old horse, some people are so insensitive I took seahorse to his new home today and he was such a good boy. Considering he has never been anywhere but here where he was born he walked straight into the wagon, travelled like a pro and walked out cool and calm at the other end. He had to walk down the lane to thestables and field and he went as if he'd seen it all before bless him. We put him in a small fenced off bit next to his new friends and he went straight to the young gelding who is the bottom of the pecking order and they started frantically grooming each other over the fence. His new mum filled up(she's pregnant and emotional ) as she said everybody else bullies poor Micky. Happy outcome I think.xx

Oh Dazy poor you, sorry you heard the news like that hun Be careful in the bath Viking, I remember a patient of mine falling in the bath and for some reason his wife phoned the district nurses instead of an ambulance so we tore round there and I ended up IN the bath with the patient, in my uniform, supporting his head until the paramedcs turned up Strictly on now Sagey - I love it but have to say can't wait for Downton later SL we had a show cob for my daughter to show a few years ago - they are really fab horses imo - honest and rarely sick or sorry - I'd have another one in a heartbeat but we've still got old Tom, traditionals are just as good Regarding the M5 accident I feel for the committee of the rugby club involved - I suppose it's possible they could be done for manslaughter AMWAP I would have gone mad too - stupid t**ts

Crotch boy definately out tonight - even Louis said he was crap. I think either Jonny who is now just a bit boring, I suppose he could come back next week as Kate Bush he's already done Kylie and Madonna, or the whining Irish girl(secretly hope it's her she's like chalk screeching on a blackboard)

Bloody foxes. Do you know I put the chicken poo on my raised beds in a pile and a fox had poo'd on top of that. There is always fox poo outside my chicken run which is electrified. The chicken house is then in side a smaller run within. Fox would have to get through three barriers including concrete foundations, but it doesn't stop him trying. You have to be straight out to shut your chickens the moment it gets dark now.
If you have trouble with fox's digging up your arena, apparently they don't do it if you get a man to pee there. My husband refuses and I haven't tried it myself. I imagine it is only man pee that works because they do stink whereas we don't.

Had a horrid week - vet scanned my Connie on Friday & he has a partial rupture of superficial flexor tendon 12 months off & no more hunting. It's just heartbreaking. Only positive thing is that he's being an angel on box rest, so patient

Ask your vet whether an A-Cell injection may be appropriate. Our mare had a huge hole in her superficial flexor, had the injection & as back being ridden after 60 days after the prescribed exercise regime. She went on to hunt again & do the inter-hunt at Royal Welsh.
