Just seen a picture of a friend on facebook, standing in their ring for tomorrow for the colours. She is standing in a massive puddle of water. I think it will look like you have done a days hunting not showing !!

Some people have said that free straw is being provided for the stables due to the conditions? Is this true? Thanks

Before we set off tomorrow morning, is it currently definitely going ahead? We are doing the plaited workers on Wednesday, and we don't want to get there tomorrow to find out that the workers will be called off on Wednesday :/ Thanks, and good luck to everyone competing and not slipping over!!

According to the BBC weather website the forecast for Hickstead for today and tomorrow is dry, mild and even sunny at times! Don't know if that will help the ground dry out enough - fingers crossed for all concerned.

Hi Thatboythat girl, yes we did have a delay this morning, the gates were not due to open until 0600 when I had medics and tractors on site ready to get day lorries in so please appologise to your friend for their 30 minute delay but it does take a while to clear a back log of nearly 100 HGVs. We did NOT get back to the motor way you will be pleased to hear, only half way up the drive!
The weather is good today, warm and breezy and I am now praying for 48 hours of the same!
We have more straw arriving this morning for the very wet stables and will soon be puting more matterial down on the muddiest horse walks to help keep everyone clean!
Good luck all!
