Let’s wait until we get it from the horse’s mouth so to speak.
I’m sure the NPS or a representative of the NPS will post on here as well as on the main NPS site.

I do hope that this decision has not been made purely on the financial implications to the NPS if cancelled - and that the true safety of competitors has been considered.

Well I think it is heartless decision, how could they after all what is happening down there, no water, flooding and now even more rain. Lets just hope that there are no accidents, I have spoken to a friend of mine in Malvern and she is contacting the local press to voice her feelings on this matter. May be any one who goes could donate may be £10 to the Red Cross appeal, because they think that this a natural disater on a par with third world flooding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope that you selfish lot enjoy yourselves, but then you dont care about anyone except your selves do you?

It's official, the website has just been updated. It's being run I heard rumour (obviously wrong!) it was being switched to Towerlands. Towerlands, we'd have gone, bt Malvern currently, no thanks! What happens if it continues chucking it down?

Its an awful situation DM but unfortunately there are people who make their living from producing ponies and if this show is on (one of the biggies) then owners expect their horses to be there.

Dont try and spoil for the others. We are not a nanny state and everyone knows how their own pony/ies will react.
I am going with lots of clothes and wellies.

I know we all want this show to go ahead and we have all paid our fees. We like everyone else spend all year looking forward to the champs. But I don’t think given the circumstances and the weather outlook that this is the best decision. Given the sad state of affairs where everyone is encouraged to make claims nowadays for things that go wrong this could end up a nightmare if there are problems.

NPS Summer Championship Show 1st – 3rd August
After gathering as much information as possible from the Show Ground Management and the surrounding area the majority of your council has made the decision to hold the 2007 Championship Show at the Three Counties Show Ground on the original date.
We are mindful of the continued suffering of some people in the surrounding district. One view is that, by holding the show at Malvern this will go some way to supporting local businesses that have been devistated by the weather conditions. We are assured by the Three Counties Trading Company that there will be plenty of water for all ponies and exhibitors.
Competitors need to be mindful that changes to the show ground layout will be necessary and we ask all of you to bear with us during this difficult time. We are hopeful that the weather conditions will improve, but should there be a turn for the worst please refere to the web site for any further information.
The N.P.S. council wish you all a happy and dry show.

I think you are being a little harsh what about my £500 stabling and entry fees, if the NPS are running the show then they must think it safe surely! still confused about what to do thou!!

Well, I am really surprised that its going ahead seeing as some roads are still shut according to traffic reports. And it also seems to be chucking it down up there. I'm in two minds whether to trail all the way up there, specially as we are showing a mare and foal. Will wait and make a decision next week, our class is'nt 'til Friday anyway.

Can someone provide a link to the NPS website page where this is posted ? I cant see this on the site - just the same notice on the front page that has been there all week:
"Please be aware that a decision will be made on Thursday 26 July regarding the situation of the flooding in the vicinity of the Showground. This will take into account the conditions at that time"
