If it's him, he will appreciate quality, regardless of type. That make sense?

That'll be Denis Hounsham of the Weydown Stud, in Hampshire. Denis would be a genuine honest non facey judge! Has bred some lovely ponies.

Well if anyone is wanting an interesting judge that asks first ridden's to canter together and appreciates a rearing horse then you might want to choose Jayne Franklin as your judge. What a nightmare day, i felt really sorry for the competitors, this is the worse judging i have seen and will be making a compliant to NCPA for not judging under the correct rules

does anyone know what Mrs Marie -Claire Nimmo and Mrs B A Hodgson like in m&m flat's?

Mrs Nimmo breeds and judges Welsh B's and Riding/Hunter and dressage ponies (Duntarvie)
Mrs Hodgson breeds and judges Fells (Inglegarth) and has experience of Dales, too.
Both like correct ponies, true to Breed type. Both would also look for character and charisma.

You are welcome - I presume this is the Royal Welsh HOYS Q?
If so, good luck, enjoy the show.

Mrs J C Macinnes from Cumbria, she is judging Olympia classes at New Forest - What does she like and what breed does she breed ?

Mrs J MacInnes breeds Riding Ponies, Hacks, TBs - Whalton prefix - and has previously bred Connemaras. Very knowledgeable re type and conformation - particularly does not like to see 'back at the knee' conformation.

Won't be impressed with 'big flash' movement at the expense of correct conformation and straight movement.

is all this slagging off judges very productive. they give their time and opinion for free. in nps we are very short on choice with not many new ones coming on. if any read all this and give up that will be the end of our hobby. judges are just giving their opinion on the day. some may not feel confident putting down a top winner. others choose to ignore a wrong leg. sometimes i get annoyed when a buck gets placed above my perfect show but that is the judges opinion. at the end of the day i take my lovely boy home and i wouldnt change him. please give the judges a break and just avoid the ones whos opinion doesnt match yours.
