Is that everywhere Dazy or just where you are? We suffer terribly with the wind at the best of times(oops pardon me) our trees grow at 45 degrees to the ground!

waa haaaa! last time we had gales it blew one of the ponies rugs off(fillet string broke) and I found it, still fastened(front and circingles), in the next field

Morning buddies, well no massive storm yet its raining lightly and is fairly windy. Think im going to be staying in today and doing nothing!!!!  . Ponies are fed and mucked out. So glad I havent got any rideable ones  |

afternoon all, hope we are all well. Have just been to my mums for a sunday afternoon visit and it was like hell on earth! 2 of my sisters were there with there kids (4 boys from age 4 to age 11). i have never seen such bad behaviour in all my life. play fighting, real fighting, running around indoors, refusing to sit down and behave. really naughty horrible kids. My youngest sister was in my mums bed with a hangover, while my other sister went home and took her dogs for a walk as none of the kids wanted to go with her. ended up getting really cross with all of them and shouting at the lot of them that they need to learn to behave and if they were my kids they would all be taken home and not allowed out until they knew how to behave in public places! and shouted at my younger sister to get her butt out of bed and come and see to her child before I brought my mum home with me and leave them all to it. Its not fair, my mum works all week and then is called on for babysitting duties every week by my youngest sister (typical teenage mum im afraid to say), and her little boy is a handful to say the least. But until my mum starts saying no there is nothing much I can do.
Feel better now I've moaned though!
Off to collect OH from pub now, and then we're having a very easy tea of homemade burgers and chips! couldnt be bothered with roast dinner today. Have awful PMT, and just need comfort food. Chocolate trifle in fridge for pud, and some thorntons choccy buns hidden in cupboard too!

Messydesk how you doing? Havent really spoken since I met you, last nov.
I'm depressed to. People were supposed to have come for pony yesterday and rang and said could no longer afford and would I return their deposit!!!! Why on earth do people do that. We were supposed to have gone to looked at one to buy today.
Rant over, back to my bottle of wine!!

Hello all. well i have had a crap day....... Thursday someone came to have a look at my yard in view of putting her two horses there, friday had sec ond look as wanted to show OH.
Saturday she called and said she loved the place and cant wait to move over, can she move this friday. Was very happy as had found someone to fill stables.
Told her yes and that iw ould require a deposit and rent up front. Not a problem. Her friend then comes to view the yard and asks if she can have her dogs there. I say no as i have just had to rehome my own dog due to him not being allowed there, she then tells girl who is moving on and she phones to say she cannot move on there because of this! GRRRRRRRR
Its a bloody small HORSE yard not a yard for dogs! Is it just me or am i just fighting a losing battle??? I even said she can go onto straw (even though i said shavings as i prefer them) could pay weekly instead of monthly and would pick her horses up in my trailer free of charge if she needed me to.
I just feel like i have moved from a yard so i didnt have to do this!
Me and OH are bickering and Little girl is just acting like a brat this past week.
Dog went to a new home today too as i just dont have time for him and feel guilty that he is home alone most of the day.
Things bever seem to stay good for me. Someone is always above me ready to throw me another bucket of Cr*p!!!

Oh so sorry Princess! Stick with it thoiugh you haven't had yard long and you only have to read on here how few and far between nice yards are. I'm afraid in the horseworld there seems to be a plethora of timewasters with unreal expectations. Hold out for the right clients and it will all be worthwhile - it's the the uncertaintity that is so hard to bear but dont dwell on it, keep moving on and it WILL all come together  |

PS22 stick with it.It's YOUR yard so you can pick and choose who can come, if they want to change your rules about bedding,payment,dogs then just show the buggers the door!!! People like that will always be trouble I think you've had a lucky escape!!! You will soon fill your stables with normal people like your fellow Horse Gossipers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

If you were going to do all this for them Stacey then they weren't worth having because they would of just wanted more, I think you have had a lucky escape, decide what you want in a tenant and stick to it, there are a lot of people who will take up your empty stables and be glad to have them, chin up kid.

Thanks guys. I am trying so hard to make it work but just getting kicked in the teeth. OH just being usual male and moaning at me for not being able to fill stables. It just seems there are always too many barriers in the way stopping me from being able to make a go of things.

Exactly, your yard - your rules. If you start making exceptions you will be expected to change any thing and everything to suit everyone except you and you left aonther yard to get away from that. It's a standing joke between my best mate and me that you bend over backwards to help people and all you get is lower back pain. Our standard greeting is how's yer back love!!!

Think i will go for a nice long hack tomorrow and clear my head, then the locals can see how beautiful my boy is and then they will be queing up to rent my stables!!! LOL
You are all right though, its MY yard and I set the rules. Thats the whole point in why i moved in the first place.
Let them stay with the witch of a livery owner they have and struggle to find someone who is nice.
