I am in a bog.. but.... you can guarenttee soemone will complain and if the council come round I can say they are mobile as they will be on skids... then perhaps after it all dies down, shove some scalpings in.. harer work but saves the agro..

friends are on scalpings and the council said OK. They didnt mean she really had to move the stables every year, just that she had to show that she could....
I am in tears tonight, so wont post anymore.
My poor son (special needs) didnt get the secondary school place he wanted. Instead of that, he has to got the school which has a FABULOUS academic result, but also has massive bullying/drugs problem, within the less bright set.
With his problems - he will be lumped in with the lower IQ kids and therefore more at risk from bullying.
I am sobbing, he is red eyed and hubby and Jamie, who are both types who breeze through life with humour/ease, thinks its fine........

Rode my boy out today. God i swear someone has planted a rocket under his bum! He was so full of it! But enjoyed it anyway and have found a good block to ride round that will enable me to build his muscles up nicely. felt so good today. had a new farrier come and do the horses, he was good, took his time was very calm and gentle with my mare. and adored my little lily. so if anyone needs a new farrier and is in hampshire then let me know and ill pass him your details.
OH been lovely all day so another stress offmy mind too. So all in all i have had a good day,
thank you everyone, for your kind words and advice. you all made me feel so much better. xxxxxxx

One of my dogs has Cushings and is fine on Vetoryl -pm me if you want some info. The pony in this pic was diagnosed with Cushings about fifteen years ago but remarkably it seems to have gone away. I suspect a wrong diagnosis. She is 37 this year and has fallen in love, I think.

LP you need to appeal. I work in a school. 1 of my special needs boys ( dyspraxic ) didnt get the school he wanted BUT parents appealed, got letters from his teachers and the Ed Psych to say that for him to go to the school he had been allocated to would have a very negative affect on his learning and his behaviour and that he would be a target for bullies. His parents were very, very persistent and they got the school they wanted. You need to be very firm with them, dont take no for an answer!!!! I will ask the teacher I work with who was also this boys teacher and just ask exactly what happened, she's not in tomorrow as she's on a course but I will see her Wednesday. Go to your sons headteacher tomorrow and ask her for help. It can be done LP dont give up .Karma for you

oh my god, sorry lp there was me going on about myself..... Can you not appeal. If you are close to your doctor, get him to write a letter and say it will affect Sams treatment if he doesnt get in to that school. Usually works a treat round this area. xx

I've never heard of him but it's not spam as it says also x y z have invited me and they are all people I know. I just wonder who this Wayne is and how he has my email address. Anyone any ideas cos I don't understand this Facebook malarky!

Sorry to hear your news LP I think it's a terrible system you have in Eng that a kids whole future is basically decided at such a young age. Obviously i don't know all the in's and out's being in Scotland but If i was faced with your concerns I would fight, fight the whole way till i got what i wanted. I really hope you can appeal, karma for Jamie xx
if you can't use scalpings dazy, what about putting down that coil matting stuff, never used it like so couldn't say if it would work or not.

Dazy, great news about the stables. Looks like another fab day today. (was forcast rain i think) Am going to give my young mare a makeover. She is looking very poor at the moment and i am a bit worried about her. Have upped her feed. she is on big rouns scoop of D&H mare and youngstock mix, high fibre cubes, hi fi original and pink powder. She is so difficult to keep weight on in the winter. I do try but also get worried about overfeeding her as WB youngstock can get ODD where they outgrow their growthplates due to too much protein etc. she is on ad lib hay-sometimes haylage if the hay is rubbish.
I know once the spring grass comes through and it starts to get warmer she will start looking good again but hate to think she is looking poor now. Any ideas???
