I also tryed to log on while they were doing a back up and thought oh no!! Well these little babies must be cooked now! really really feel for you anotherdeal, i bet you are on auto pilot now! I do not know your mare but she seems to have the sort of pattern my mare amy has, loads of wax with sticky legs for days but she also does not do anything untill she is running pure milk. Here`s hoping you will find miss Valentine (although i think you may have other names for her now ;D ) truly in labour today

Me too.....been trying to log on...blooming backups!!!
Her due date is 2nd August, so she has done very well to carry her bundles to full term, which can only help them.
Do hope you managed to get some sleep, ready for the big night.....unless it has already happened of course ??
We are all hanging on in and thinking of you Hugs xxx

Usually the wax drops off when the pressure of the milk production begins, she should be dripping milk intermittently soon, which is a sure sign the babes are on their way!!! come on missy time for action!!! ;D

Obviously running her milk is still not a guarantee but it is a very good sign that birth is imminent and even if she does not foal tonight 24/7 observation is now imperative......cant let her down in her hour of need Is she marching around, biting her legs and her sides, stretching her neck, snatching at her hay, curling her lip up Rubbing her neck bum and sides around the stable wall digging her bed passing dropping and staling often........all signs of labour Also as the foal pushes forward into the birthing canal the mare has her tail continually up She may try getting down but doesn`t usually stay down for more than a minute or so Do hope for your sake....she gets on with the job tonight Fingers crossed and wish I could be there with you Babs www.SunrayAngloArabianStud.co.uk

Hi, I Hope Everything Goes ok for you with your mare. just a little encouragement for you...my friends mare has just had twins 2 weeks ago, although one is very small and couldnt reach to drink, both are now looking alot better and are doin well as is the mare. She had to milk the mare for the first few days until she could get hold of a bag of mares milk formula, although this is expensive it may be worth ordering a bag incase u need it then u have it there. she mixed it with a bit of the mares milk to stop the foals scouring and all went well. as long as each foal gets enough colosterum they should be fine. i hope this information helps and if you would like her number to talk to her im sure shes more than happy to help. let me know and ill get it to u x x x x
