I don't know but as a complete independent observer, I really like that Connemara Carracastle Barney.
As an owner of a NF pony why is it that NF ponies do not fare so well at Olympia. Is it because they lack the presence or height of some of the larger breeds?

Well in no particular order. Castle Ri, Southerly Red Ember, Brungrange Steffanie, Pearly King, Waxwing Paintbox, Heltondale Misty. Would love it to be a kiddie on board there are such good ones out there.

CH Flash for me, he is cracking. Best Dales going imo and I really want him to feature in top 6.

In my opinion Olympia is never predicable, nearly all of the ponies are of good quality so good luck to all of them and remember its the taking part that counts.

Produced by Vicki Hesford who is god-daughter of one of the Olympia judges. You may remember that she got Kate Carter to ride a welsh cob for her a couple of years ago at HOYs when the same said judge was judging HOYS. Of course she won't have that problem at Olympia as i am sure the owners son will be taking the ride!

i always thought that you could not show under a "godparent" so surley it does not matter if she rideds or not i thought she could not show regardless if she produced it or not
maybe i am wrong

I like Wayland Cranberry and Heltondale Misty, small breeds I'd say Red Ember. I also like that Sydserff connemara that got 2nd at HOYS, forgotten its name and dont think it has qualified Also Pennal Calon Mai should be in with a shout!

No way will Flash get it, he pales in to insignificance next to Wizard Also I know both judges like Kilmannan ponies, or at least I think they do

Well it definitely won't be a certain connemara under one of the judges.

Hope not, Flash isn't as good as Wizard when he's on form imo. It would be nice to see a fresh face in the Dales take it instead of it being judged on where the pony is from etc.

Forget Me Knot is lovely - but out of the D's I think Mai will cope with the atmosphere better, and does go really well. Not even going to attempt to predict who will win though !! But will be there watching and enjoying it

Well let's hope the best one wins! One things for sure - who ever wins - someone will find some connection as to why it won - and if in doubt they will make one up!!! Why not wait and see what happens and be pleased for them

Please be careful about inferring unfair judging - let's just wait and see what happens. I have to say I have only been judged by Pat Rennie once, but I found her to be extremely fair.

I most certainly am not inferring unfair judging, please do not infer that I did! I said why she may like the Kilmannan ponies that's all which I think is a fair enough comment. I never once said she would judge unfairly so please do not pass such unfounded accusations. I'm sure both the judges will do a grand job and good luck to everyone that is competing

why mention about them being neighbours then if you weren't trying to insinuate anything

Went under Pat Rennie at HOYS 04 with Wyken Llwynella. She gave her a very good conf mark. Not been under her before. Also gave Waxwing Rheel a very good conf mark. GOOD LUCK LIMELIGHT

why mention about them being neighbours then if you weren't trying to insinuate anything I was trying to show how she knew the Kilmannan ponies that was all, not inferring anything bad about judging. Lving close to someone doesn't mean you are going to make their ponies win, they might hate each other for all I know. Sorry for any confusion. Back to the original point of this thread Who's Going to Win. I'd like to see Pennal Calon Mai win, I think it would be very fitting after the great year she has had. But I'm sure whoever does win will be well deserved there are lots of good ponies this year.

Why cant people just put which ponies they like and their favourites for the top spots..........instead of using it as another excuse to insult some of the ponies. Just think about other people and thier feelings before you put your comments on............

Guestless, the point i was trying to make was that it was Liz Not Pat who judged HOYS (Liz did the conf) and as many people get mixed up with the two Sisters that is why i mentioned the Royal also i have to take to task the tone in which you replied ,i did not like it !!
