My little girl and her pony, llanfrechfa Sweetheart won the Equifest Welsh A LR mares, so very proud of them both. Honey (pony) was a bit overwhelmed by evening performance but Zoe grinned from ear to ear all the way through it.
Well done to Champ and Res in Equifest LR.
Huge well done to Ccragg and Dougal, sorry I was a bit weepy when I saw him! He looks great X
Had a fab time, just got home, totally cream crackered.

georgia and townend patience had a great but frustrating day... pulled top in home produced fell/dales out of twenty odd again but moved to third to fabulous dales stallion, then pulled top again in nps junior ridden large ... another huge class but poppy wrong legged TWICE lol on same rein and dropped to ninth.. never mind ... beautiful pally won the class .. we are very pleased once again with the pull in place! would echo what someone else said on here about the m and ms being very large and strong classes !

This is pony mum , posting on my daughters iPad! We have had a great week with the exception of Saturday. We had a brilliant start to the day, Georgia and coco won the equifest 12.2 sp class! To say we were thrilled was an understatement!! Then we rushed over to the nps home produced 13shp, where we asked if we could do our show and strip first a's that ring was running late, putting our next class in jeopardy. We were told we could, so georgics friend held Frank in the class and we rushed off to do our final sp class. Towards the end of the sp class , Georgias friend appeared really upset to say the judges in the shp class told her because the jockey wasn't back in the class they couldn't place Frank , otherwise he would of WON.......the thing that upset her the most was they left her standing in the class all the time and then when it was presentation time asked her to leave? we were under the impression that was the case , and I went to speak to John Phillips who is the chairman, and who confirmed we should of won the class and promptly gave us a first rosette and prize money. We thought that was the end of our troubles and set about getting coco ready for the sp championship in the evening - Georgia was so excited ! All went well coco did a lovely go round, they called reserve forward , then called Georgia a's champion!!! Our moment of glory was very short-lived, the commentator then said "oops sorry we've made a mistake , please go back into lineup" A's you can all imagine it was heartbreaking to watch your child visibly sob in the lineup, they then added insult to injury by giving her a special rosette! I'm afraid I'm not over the moon about this treatment and will be seeking out Mr PHillips again today! Will fill you all in when or if we get any form of apology x

Sadly these things happen all the time, its just unbearable when it happens to you Georgia and Frank are little superstars in their own right, so will go on and win again and again, so this blip will soon be forgotton PS, what colour would Georgia like her new bedroom decorated ;D ;D

Firstly what a fab show. Lovely atmosphere, lovely rossetts, lovely organisers and overall a pleasure to be there. Yes there were blips - we were involved 2 of them, but I would definately go back and would like to thank BETSY - for making the whole experience such a positive one. Secondly - the standard was VERY high. The classes were massive and any one that wasnt placed or didnt get the places they were hoping for - shouldnt we too worried, with classes that big, the judges really have to think on their feet and make very quick decisions. I didnt see many horses there, that wouldnt be winning at county level in their own area xxxxx Candy we were thrilled with - massive thank you to Jennifer Lane, for loaning us such a wonderful pony. 2nd - Adult and Junior pairs. Georgia and I had never met, before. 20 minutes before the class we had a giggling attempt at riding as a pair. Georgia was delightful and Frank is devine. Candy and Frank hit it off immediately and they loved riding as a pair. In our show, I told Georgia, to just stick with me, which she did like a dream. We laughed and chatted all the way round and I have to say, I enjoyed that class more than any other, as it was so nice to be chatting and laughing. We got pulled in for the evening performance - but they held it early, so most people missed it. Frank and Candy stormed round, loving the atmosphere and were very proud of their 2nd place ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd Open Ridden PBA - pulled in 6th very strong class - and after the most amazing individual show, Candy was perfect - moved up to second --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dressage to Music 14 years and under - Sam & Candy - again foot perfect, but not as elaborate a costume as the girl who won - who was also side saddle. Thrilled to be in 2d place. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dressge to music ADULT - candy and I were there in a ridiculous costume, hoping to make everyone laugh - I think we succeeded in that ? On finishing our performance we were told that we had WITHDRAWN earlier, so couldnt be placed........... An hour later, me in tears, as they wouldnt believe me, when I said I hadnt withdrawn, it was admitted that a mistake had been made. Too late to do anything about it. Very sad, as once I start to cry, I cant stop (Jamie reasons) , which led to Sam crying, Richard getting very upset AND even the dressage Sponsor crying - as he dedicated it to his dead wife - so he was in bits too --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Best Trained Performance Horse - Sam and Candy 4th - beaten by 3 foot perfect adults, e was the only child in the class, so we were thrilled ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Open Dressage to Music - Candy was devine, but a little OTT (too many electrolytes, etc - my fault). We had planned a simple Novice show, but all the others were doing lateral work and much more advanced movements. We therefore changed our show - mentally, as you cant practice anywhere. We added lots of elementary moves - which she carried out beautfully. Sadly it meant that we got ahead of our music and then when I tried to improvise, we got behind and finished after the music Very pleased to be 4th out of a massive class of horses who were experienced at a much higher level of dressage than us. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Very tired and emotional - missing Jamie too much - we then shot off home. To our wonderful pony Candy - you are our little superstar and a pleasure in every way xxxxx

LP - I think it was one of my ponies that was above you in the Adult and Child, I wasn't up there to watch. Two Welsh Sec As, mine (on loan to lovely rider) is dilute black with four whites and two blodges on face, the other is black with blaze and I think four whites, was that them? Rider said the ponies had a ball in the evening perf and really showed off to their utmost, and Katie who is 10yo and not done that much showing was so thrilled at how they did. She rides my Cassi too in FRs.
Many congrats on your other results, and what an awful thing to happen in the dressage. I do hope that at least you have your sheet so that you know where you should have ended up.

Just returned from Equifest after 2 days of hectic judging (8am til 8pm)! but must comment on the wonderful atmosphere down there.
Everyone was obviously enjoying themselves grannies to tiny tots.
it was lovely to see so many children really enjoying being there and competing.
Yes there were hiccups but what shows havent that cater for so many horses, but it was always dealt with with a smile and sorted out!
I must also comment that the WH1 ring was the best wh course I have ever judged in -thanks to the wh course builder for using the ring to the best advantage.
Thanks Betsy and team for a brilliant few days
and I hope everyone continues to really enjoy the show down there and be proud of what they have achieved over the days.

Had a fantastic time with our section a pony Pwllsarn Sweetcorn, he did a mixture of classes mainly FR, he won 6 classes and 3 championships, first time at the show loved it all despite probs with stabling which equifest fully aware of, we got into the evening performance last night and was very disapointed to see a pony get take supreme that had noteven turned up for the PRE-JUDGING, so I will be speaking to equifest today about the rules around that, as that pony did not even do a show for the judges who had not previously judged it, there seemed to be some debate between the 2 judges and i got the impression that the female judge did not agree with it, spoilt a good week for us but will still come back next year!!!

Just returned from Equifest and although had a fab time - think this year they are a victim of their own success - less organised than last year and not enough helpers or officials, we had sponsors stables but with the amount of indoor stables and red stables all together , not enough parking to accommodate. We ended up parking in the yellow area, had some really unruly neighbours and the trip to the stables umteen times a day made it less enjoyable, had a M&M and a coloured, we entered in hand and ridden, but with all the class splits etc all 3 days our classes clashed. We were in a ridden class, my friend went to the in hand ring to say we wouldn't be long and give our number, the ring we were in radioed to the in hand ring to say the same as they were just giving the rossettes , rushed down to the in hand ring and the steward said sorry carnt hold classes ! they have started judging - this was the Final NNP in hand which we had travelled to qualify for, paid an entery at the qualifing show, paid the entry for Equifest and done all we could to inform the ring - as the pony had won the other NNP class the day before it would have been nice to have at least been in the ring !! Went to complain - and have to put it in writing when I get home and they will refund the £15 entry fee - what about the £80 it cost me to qualify for the class ?? and the chance to win the Final ! in all I missed 3 classes due to the none leaving the ring and no waiting so all in all I feel a lot of money wasted. Dont think we will be going back

You couldnt tell which leg belonged to which pony - they were so close together They were also same sized riders and same sized pony. Where are we were little pony little rider, big pony, big rider. They deserved their win and I clapped for them xxxxxx

We have just got back from our first Equifest, we have all had a fantastic times. Most rings organised and when running late the tannoy announcements were very informative.
We had an awesome show winning the Equifest Large Riding Horse which was very unexpected. We also met some lovely people and caught up with old friends.

Deben Medlar won the Suffolk gelding and 2nd in the in hand Part ~Bred heavy horse My welsh A was un placed in both his classes..... the young handlers was judge SOOOOO bad! I was shocked at the judging in that class! but will deffo go back next year!

ponymum we watched georgia get pulled champion and then dropped, it was so sad to see her go from over the moon to so sad in seconds! my mum had a tear in her eye and really felt for you both. on a good note though i had a fantastic equifest with no complaints, we had perfect stables on grass and right next to the workers rings and my new pony (Byley tom thumb) was a star we won the nursery stakes and 133 whp, 2nd in the novice 133 whp and a 3rd, 4th and a 8th in the flat shp classes, this is his first season of showing and jumping and only came to me in June. see you all next year xxxx

Ponymum we watched & felt so sorry for Georgia. Well done for the rest of the week. Oliver Hood Supreme with a hunter & the connermara who went native supreme went reserve. Nook School For Scandal - PB Equifest Champion Wesswood Caste a Spell - INT Champ Gemma Pallett Supreme Leading Rider Georgina Darlington & Wortley Celebration M&M EQUIFEST Champion Supreme Home produced NPS - SHP Lr Van-Praaghs Derek Franks Supreme Home Produced - Jackets Mayfair SP Champ - Abbas Blue Rainbow SHP Equifest Champ - Braeglan Symphony - also went reserve non-native supreme ^Just some results of the top of my head! Had a good week, some judging was a bit iffy but you always have that, just opinion. Got a 2nd, 4th, 5th, & a 7th... So a good week will hopefully be at Equifest next year, purple stables were very good, nice & quiet not too far from the stables & the indoor ring. Only improvement for the Equifest team would be to put 'only cash & card' payments etc, IN THE SCHEDULE, for when entering at the show as some people did not realize this. Good show, very organized the majority of classes stuck the timetable time, & the stewards were all helpful & friendly. Also the poo-pickers did an excellent job compared to the other champs shows!!!!!! Hopefully will be back at Equifest next year.

Jessica Mathieson & Hisley Provost were 2nd in Equifest First Ridden Small Breeds.
Prov took Jess into her first ever Evening Performance on Thursday night in the Concours and they were 8th. She loved it and kept saying on Friday how she wanted to go in again, she upped her game in the FR and they were pulled 2nd. They earned this final placing with a fabulous balanced and steady show and then, for the second night, they went into the main arena. Hisley Provost is a complete proffessional who took care of his jockey and gave her an Equifest Show that she will never forget.
She also won her First Ridden Small Breeds class on Saturday........
I am very biased, I'm her mum, but she has worked so hard to reach this point and Prov has taught her so much.
We had simply the best Equifest ever, saw soooo many friends and had lots of laughs....... The atmosphere was relaxed even though it was busy, the announcer was fantastic and the Equifest Team are simply the best!!!
We'll be there next year..........

Congratulations to the organisers for yet another great show.
OK the weather wasnt great to start with and classes did run a little late, OH.... and not every judge thought my ponies should be top of the line. I ache all over, must have walked miles!!
But the atmosphere was fabulous the trade stands just too tempting, the standard of horses and ponies very high and I cant wait for next year. Equifest must now be established as THE championship show.

Had a fab time again and placed in every class bar one with my 2 babies so thrilled to bits.
Ponymum just wanted to say I watched your little girl being award sp champion then taken away I know you are both bitterly dissapointed but can I just say what a star your daughter is you could see how dissapointed she was but returned to the line up with such dignity and grace for one so young I hope that you are proud of how she conducted herself. What a gut wrentching moment.
I seemed to have missed all the stable dramas arrived stables as should be parked close got very wet got sunburnt had lots to drink and had a lovely time and really looking forward to next year
