Highlands Joli is a lovely pony, I have seen it out and about before. Congrats to all connections ! And well done for 3rd place for blacknight, there is still life in the old boy yet hey It must be a proud thing to ride a RW in hand winner in the ring. Dandelion's Olympia class history was ... 2nd, 1st & Res Ch, 1st & Ch !!! Fingers crossed he can get his HOYS ticket as well now. And I hope his dun baby in the field might follow in his footsteps one day too :-) Lexy

Well done to Carol and Sarah - we didn't see the classes but I spotted the Connie from a distance and also thought it was stunning. Well done to Debbie and Co. for the LR - very well deserved and to Phil for being 3rd. We left before the FR had finished, but it looked a really good class. Also well done Bobbie - I am sure you will get your ticket soon having already had two firsts.

Not wishing to moan as this was an observation. There were several grey ponies in the HOYS LR with dyed black/purple manes and tails one of which used to be on our yard. Isn't this against WP&CS & NPS rules and yet one of thse ponies was placed.

Dylon - not sure this is actually against any rules, certainly for WPCS (not checked NPS but they would prob defer to the breed societies anyway). Even if def against the spirit of the guidelines for sure.
How would the judge know anyway ??
WPCS Showing Guidelines:
Trimming Guidance for Showing 6.9.1. The Welsh breeds are a Native breed and too much trimming and pulling detracts from their native characteristics. Pure bred animals registered in Sections A, B, C, D & E must be shown in as natural a state as possible, manes and tails must not be plaited with the exception of a single long plait behind the ear.
6.9.5. Artificial changes to the original markings of an animal as recorded on the Passport will not be allowed, nor the addition of false manes and tails.

Lexy Thanks for updating us Lexy and Congratulations on your family's Olympia ticket yesterday. Stunning boy. You must all be SO proud. Dyed manes and tails. Some were very obvious. The same colour all the way through, black tail on a white pony, etc. ROOTS are another give-away. There were several very examples yesterday from well known Welsh yards. Nice ponies spoiled by too much black and one tail was purple when it caught the light. We know the riding pony people are painting on stars but for natives to go this far is astep too far. What is wrong with a grey A anyway? They've banned Panda eyes but surely this is worse?

Well done to all Floreat connections.
This stud is probably one of the best examples of why the 'new' Olympia rule is wrong. Well in my opinion anyway!
A small stud, breeding quality animals with a select few properly produced and aimed for top class competition. Showcasing the stud and utilising the animal.
Well done all!

it was my frist time at this show and it was a nice show to go to. But i found the ring very small tho and as it rained all weekend it was very slipy to ride. also i found that most of the classes was not on time and i thought this was bad as people was waiting to go in the rings. it was a nice show tho

The Sec A results sound like an exact replica of the results from Towerlands show earlier this year !! That said, all lovely ponies and Idyllic Entrepeneur is beautiful and well mannered stallion. Windleway Fame also a lovely mare, was stood next to her in line up at Ho Co show this year.
The Colne filly would have been one of the greys by N. Telor and ex either C. Tatiana or C. Trisca. I cant remember what either is called though and cant find results of Towerlands where they were 1, 2 and I was 3rd.
Lexy.

Dylon- you seem to have some sort of obsession with dyed manes and tails?! Perhaps you should complain about it in the "moaners area"!

My stallion, Meadowlands Mooncatcher, won the Welsh B stallion class, reserve overall B champion, medalled and qualified for the National Welsh In-hand show at Shrewsbury! Well done to Pauline and Maurice of the Colliyers Stud who have him on lease this year and also to Karen from the Harwel Stud who shows the ponies for them!!
