WHAT IS IT??
YOU ARE VILE NASTY PEOPLE AND THERE IS NO NEED, WHEN THE FUTURE GENERATION OF RIDERS, HANDLERS AND BREDDERS READ THIS THEY WILL BE HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS, GET A GRIP!!!!! LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE, IS IT THE END OF THE WORLD? NO.

i would also like to know just who gave you all the right to slag people off the way you do, freedom of speech is one thing, blatant nastiness is another!!
i have also just read the great yorkshire thread and i am disgusted that this is the world we live in...god help the kids of today who have dreams of carrying on in the future...
you must be really bored or just plain nasty and i hope IF you are ever as successful as the ponies mentioned on here are that you have your glory taken away too, just so you can see just how crap it feels to be on the receiving end, but then most of you doing the slating would never be so lucky to own such wonderful animals me personally i could never dream of being that nasty and even when people we dont especially see eye to eye with do well, we still congratulate them and mean it, showing is bloody hard work, go try harder, get better ponies then maybe just maybe you wont need to go off like this....
with re to waithwith cuddles on the other thread, wonderful pony, super lead rein and fab conformation. you vile lot crawl back under your rocks.

Ok i have been reading all what you's have been saying..
now why are we still all going on about it, theres NOTHING we can do about it now ok. If you can't take the fact that some ponies win and some dont then you should not be in the showing world!
Yes showing is full of facey judges and we all know this and just have to deal with it cause lets face it its never gonna change.
Also well done to fiona & (the great) you should of won!!

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Me and Harri (aka 'The Great') had a great time in the mud!! I was thrilled with how he dealt with it and even more chuffed that the ride judge said he gave her the best ride of the day! Makes all that effort worth it. Understandably we were a little disappointed we didn't stay top but such is life

Hi, I have to say I don`t post on here very often, preferring to read and keep my opinions to myself, but I feel this subject has been flogged to death now- lets all just agree to disagree and leave it at that! Mutual name calling doesn`t do anyone any good, nor will it change things! Let`s just leave it now please?

Regarding Pebbles - I went to a lecture at a dressage training centre a couple of years ago on biomechanics geiven by an eminent German vet, and one of the points made was that in a natural extended trot the hind cannon would be parallel to the front forearm - exactly as demonstrated in those lovely photos of Pebbles. A study of some of the dressage photos in H&H is interesting in this context!

Agree that this thread has been done to death, but would just like to say that Jenny and Norman, Mark and Liz are some of the nicest and hard working people I know. Have judged their ponies on lots of occasions, and don't think I have ever had an Idyllic pony lower than 2nd. Although I have some lovely ponies of my own, but would be honoured to have an Idyllic pony in my fields, most of the negative comments are made by people who are "jealous". In my opinion Granite and and Legend are 2 off the best stock getters in the last 20 years, can spot a 'Legend' a mile off.

would like to congratulate all the winners at the Royal Welsh, i was in the ridden C class and know first hand how horrendous that ground was, anybody riding or running in it deserved a medal! Congratulations to terryand lorraine with all their winnings, flashman truely deserved to win that class, to Mr ben with Pennal the great, whom i watched from my class and thought he went amazing and i picked him as my winner and to the Kilbey Family with their fantastic section A mare, whom i and everbody around me and next to the ring saw as a truely beautiful mare with a natural outstanding movement and 100% deserved to be the champion, although there where some stunning animals in that championship she was a step above the rest. I think to many people come on here to criticise and moan about other people winnings, and what makes me laugh the most is how most of them appear to be guests. It really is quite pathetic and i think all those green eyed monsters need to get a life and start trying to congratulate people on their winnings instead....lets face it not one of you would turn down the chance to own a mare of that calibre, or even give it a run around the ring...although im sure many of us would fail to keep up haha !!!! And whomever said that the judging was bad because he didnt stick to one type, what a load of crap, at the end of the day there many be 2 totally different types of ponies but both of which are still stunning animals and worthy winners, i cant say i have a particular type, if i see something i like it whatever the type, of course i slightly prefer one type to another but wouldnt like to see a beautiful animal put at the bottom of the line because of its type if it stand below less quality animals

I have never met the Kilbeys but I am utterly dismayed to read such miserable, snipey and blatently jealous posts about anyone or any pony. The web-site link I have looked at shows pictures of this pony over several years moving with a superb hind-leg action, regardless of whether it's the sort of movement you like or believe to be traditional.
To the Kilbeys - you have achieved what so many others would LOVE to but never will with your RW win - please enjoy it and bear in mind that for each person so embittered by rage and jealousy of your win, there are loads more who are delighted for you and most of all for your pony, including, of course, the judge!!

Just got to say i am horrified at some of the comments raised here and note that the majority have been raised by guests, why on earth the need to name people ie The Kilbys and a statement like Old Man Idylic, how incredibly rude !!!! The pony in question is stunning, true to type and moved fantastically, at the end of the day the comments raised have been unforgivable and i really do think some people need to grow up, all this c*** just because you are jealous !!!! and dont try denying it and give up hiding behind a guest name as well. Nothing else to say as fed up with your nasty attitudes, if you spent more time on your animals and less time slating others you may achieve something like this one day ??

exactly!!!!! pure and simple jealously! i would love that pony on my yard, message to the winners-keep up the good work, ignore the nasty people who could only ever dream of such a win and keep on enjoying your beautiful ponies, we should all be proud of the ponies we have here in the uk, not slagging them off, after all, they are renowned for being the most beautiful and the envy of every other country in the world, such a shame some of us "great Brits" cant appreciate them as much as those in other countries do, we are crap at most sports, but welsh mountain pony breeding we have got down to a fine art!! enjoy and shut up!!

There is no such thing as a perfect pony and, until there is, all judges are going to have their own opinions as to which pony is best. If all judges thought the same there would be no competition and then what would you all do ???
To refer to Norman as 'old man idyllic' is insulting and, in my opinion, proves what an ignorant, uneducated, ill bred lot you really are.

pixie you are right, there were probably loads of types in the A classes, just my opinion of course but if i was judging i would rather put a pony that wasnt quite my type but a beautiful animal above a pony that was my type but was inferior. Maybe thats where the mix and match comes from. You would all still moan if the judge had put bad examples over good ones because 'he was sticking to his type'. sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture.

Sarahp has hit the nail on the head. Pebbles' movement is nothing more than natural extention, and a d**n good example of it. Those that think otherwise should perhaps go away and do a little more homework before suggesting ludicrous methods of false extravagant movement. I wish my horse extended like Pebbles does!!!! This little mare has many a win in her yet ;-)

Definition : jealous
• adjective 1 envious of someone else’s achievements or advantages. 2 resentful of someone regarded as a rival.
Jealousy is a terrible disease isn't it ......... to make it worse, there's no cure and the symptoms get worse as time goes on.
You have to pity them really .... they have a very limited mental age and are normally found to be single, lonely, sad and depressed cretins with few friends or aquaintances.

I have read all the posts regarding the Section A Champion. She won the class fair and square (In the judges opinion). I was not competing and therefore am not jealous in any way. She is a very nice mare and a stunning mover however, I would not say her movement is true to type regarding the bred characteristics. She is however, very impressive. People are entitled to there opinions but should not be subjected to insults on a gossip forum.

Sorry but I've totally heard enough and have to reply.
What a nasty lemon sucking sour faced bunch of critics you are, whether you like it or not, the winners are the winners because thats what the judge says and thats final.
All of you on here that have posted such nasty comments should be ashamed of yourselves. It's not the judges that ruin the showing world, it's people like you that make it sour.
I think you should all learn to be gracious and have some manners

Pebbles is related to Tallares Granite - now he was some mover and you can see exactly where it comes from. Any pixs of him anyone? Massive congrats to Liz and Mark for fantastic results. Misterben - from where we were sitting, Harri not only should of won the class but should of been champion!!

Re: Pebbles
I have read through the comments regarding Pebbels and felt obliged to reply!!
I bought a 14 month old colt from Mrs Kilbey 7 yrs ago! One of legend's last son's. He has wonderful extravagant movement. That is why I bought him. His action is beautiful to watch in the field when he trots. When he was 5 we sent him to England (as we live off the mainland) to a well known pony producer to be backed. They did a wonderful job and he was home within 4 months. We have shown him in hand as he is more an open pony than L/R or F/R, and he will be for my grandson after he has completed F/R. We have judges that travel from the mainland, therefore not facey as they dont know anyone. One judge asked to run him around the ring once more to show his action to the spectators again.
We dont put any of the 'talked about c**p' on his legs to produce the action. RUBBISH!! The people or persons need to get a life, they are only rude and jealous for saying such things and naming Mr Kilbey in such a way! My pony was born with this extravagant movement.
My father comes from Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales. He tells stories of when he was young, the ponies would come down from the mountains to the town for food. We are going back 70 years, mind you. They used to try and ride them, if you could catch one, you could keep it. They never did! My father said some of the ponies had short action and others had more extravagant movement and they all lived wild in the mountains.
So Mr and Mrs Kilbey and family, take no notice of a minute selection of small-minded people. All others and I think your ponies are wonderful especially Pebbels and my boys late sire Pendock Legend. Congratulations to Liz and Mark.

well it seams that this thread has taken a turn for the worse with people hiding behind the tag of guest to slag of other people , why oh why cant people register and post under there registered name . its very cowardly to post derogitry coments about other peoples ponies and judging whilst hiding your own identity if you have a point to make please do it properly .
there will always be be people that dissagree with one judges opinion be it section a,b,c or d but the judge is posted in the schedule no one forces anyone to enter we were told after we had entered our pony that the judge liked a good mover and hated greys , we had decided the week before not to go but after watching the judging of the section a classes on the tuesday we did a last minute rethink and took our pony so glad we did getting 3 rd in his class . and before you all have a go at me and pick holes in my boy dukeshill mario i am aware hes not the biggest mover on the planet but he is straight and true to type he has won loads in mixed m&m classes and hes nice and straight hes been 1st at our local area nps shows at every show hes been to in the last 2 years under 5 diffrent judges he also won his class at the nps spring champs .
the judge didnt go for the type of pony i had been told by several diffrent people that he would and i think a lot of people entered ponies under him that in hindsight they wouldnt have done had they seen him judge before the entries closed . some well meaning person even said to me that he hated greys so it just goes to show you never can tell .
when it comes to section a's there are many diffrent types we try to breed a ridden type im not a fan of the very small headed dished face type of section a but i know a lot of people are .
when choosing to show under a judge i take into consideration a few things , do i like the ponies they have bred , have i seen them judge before and consider that they did a fair job in my opinion . thats it to me thats all that counts . a lot of the guests on here dont seem to agree with the judges opinion but hey thats all it was was his opinion theres always another year and another judge for gods sake get a grip on reality the champ mare to me is a lovely pony in my opinion in past years i have found some of the ponies that have won at the royal welsh quite offensive but thats my opinion and im not going to sneak in here as a guest and post derogitry comments when a puggy headed froggy eyed freak wins id just say fare enough but its not my type .
