Im taking a Sports pony 2 yr old to Richmond - we went to Myerscough last year and she was champion - she is coloured filly by Lostock Studs Acado out of a Cusop Show Pony. Shes got a small splint - must have been hard ground or a knock so im sad about that and wondering if they will mark her down?

I would think the vet may notice unless very tiny, however I wouldnt think she would be marked down for that. I hope you are looking after my Ginger pony!!!!!!!! Im assuming by your user name that you are who I think!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if sarcoids would be marked down hugely? In the sheath area?

Does anyone know if sarcoids would be marked down hugely? In the sheath area? I think the vet would advise on them rather than mark down hugely, however not something I have come across so cant really say!!!

Thrilled to bits with my filly's Higher First Premium of 8.86, the third highest score of the whole day. Just the colt to get to Writtle now.
Good Luck to everyone.

JOHN GOT AN ELITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im absolutely thrilled and he showed himself fantastically!!!!! Hazel the foal decided today was not the day to put any feet on the floor at all and leapt, galloped, squealed, bucked and did it all again on many occasions even though the evaluators were really patient and gave her time to settle she did however gain a 1st Premium with an 8.18!!!!!!!! All in all had a brilliant day!!!!!!

Huge congratulations, holiday. You must be SO proud! Naughty Hazel though, mind you, I've a feeling my colt might do the same, he's so precotious!

Might see you there then stormyskies! Also going to ponies uk with the foal's dam. I have asked if I can take my foal on his own without mum as she has had enough of him and really they need to be weaned. So that should be entertaining to say the least!! lol

OMG....its basically 2 days til Myerscough and I have a "teenage" Mum (aka Phoebe 3yr old) who still looks like she is in foal and 7 week old foal that hates being on the lead!! Oh Joy!
Holiday....Phoebe been to BEF as yearling and 2 yr old, but never shown foal at BEF....do you manage to trim the foals at all?? Maisie has very pretty head but overshadowed by the "undergrowth" on her chin!! Not sure if I will be able to get clipper to her!!

I do trim my foals, ears, chin and feathers however at this late stage it maybe best not to as if she decides she doesnt like it and you make a mess it will be a little late to let it grow!!!! I tend to do mine at least a week to 10 days before "just in case" lol!!!!!
