Was the Workers on the grass, or on a surface do you know?

was on the grass like last year. the open classes had to go through water to a jump and the novice class started off with 3 fences going down hill. not many clears, course looked tight in areas.

Thank you.
That water splash always catches a lot out. I wonder if they'll keep it in for the M&M's tomorrow?

does any one know how the rider is that went off to hospital ? I was just going to ask that, it sounded awful and they were suspecting spinal injuries my friends were saying, as they boarded the lady and the ambulance drove very slowly off the show ground. Fingers x she is ok. There were some very wound up horses coming out of the Ex Race horse class. My friends did fantastic...just got in from watching some of the evening performances. It was very busy. ;D Puzzle who is Caron's on here was a little superstar in her first Plaited Pairs evening performance. At one point Caron had turned a shade of green when they were all cantering around together. But fab placing, will let her post her results.

Do hope the girl on the ex racer is ok. Mum was there today and I hope UK showing get their tannoy fixed and car park assistants radios so they know whats going on down there for tomorrow. Workers course was tight there last year too. Atleast the rain held off though, or atleast it did over near us. Good luck to everyone there tomorrow

The girl who came off the racer is ok I think and was discharged from hospital last night. Think she has chipped her hip bone and is a bit bruised but is very very lucky as it could have been much worse.

We went and I was not impressed. The last time we went it was at Myerscough and it was far bettter. I wasn't impressed either for some reason, just didn't have a very enjoyable day yesterday. I dont know what it wa,s perhaps it's not as prestigious as it once was. We had some good results though so no complaints, the judges, stewards and officials were all lovely and helpful. Could not find any stable managers though at all! Perhaps it would have been a good idea to have an office and label it clearly?!

i have too say wasn't impressed with bold heath yeserday as well. we were up early to be there for the riding horse class at 8am everyone waiting and judge didn't turn up till 20past 8. 22 in the class he pulled in 10 and then everyone else lined up he stripped the first 10 and then the odd ones in the bottom line up. now surely he should treat everyone the same?
my daughter got thru to the evening performance in the veteran class and this wasn't until 9.30 at night which was then rushed thru cause they had to have all classes finished by 10pm
well done to the lady who caught her lead rein rider in the veteran that was very quick thinking cant believe after the lady put the child back on the pony and everyone started clapping and then wonder why the pony is spooking again haven't any horse people got any sense?? hope the girl in the ex racehorse class is ok. should have gone today for 3 classes but after a late finish not going. i hope with the money uk showing has got from us they could improve on some aspects of the show. sorry uk showing shan't be going again

I am not going again either .. wasnt happy with the show the atmosphere wasnt as good as it was at myerscough ... i know they crnt go back there but we are not doing uk showing again whilst it is held at bold. i heard it was rubbish last year and i didnt believe people who told me as every year i have been its been excellent ( i didnt go last year when it was at bold ) so i thought i give it a go see if it was just other them, but i have to agree it was a total waste of money and wish i hadnt of botherd. The judges where nice but one judge in one ring sounded like he didnt have clue what he was doing .. didnt no he had a ring championship at the end so didnt do one.
Sorry ukshowing but till it improves i will not be coming again, and i think you might be loosing out on some people who really did like this show like ourselves.
Well done to everyone who did well at the show.

It wasnt the clapping that frightened the lead rein pony but the rider on the cob that cut the corner. I thought the little girl was fab, she had practically got herself back in the saddle and then the leader helped. Well done to her, she must have been very frightened.
Personally I thought the music was too loud and some of the spectators had no respect for the safety of others and neither did some of the riders. Felt a few should have been asked to leave as they couldnt control their horses. Felt sorry for the girl in the Arab class as another pony was being very naughty and spinning and backed into her horse which upset hers and it reared a few times and she came off. She had to leave but the girl and horse who caused the upset was left in and placed. I wouldnt have been very happy.
The evening performance went well over schedule, we left about 11.30pm and they still had a few classes to do.
All in all I thought that Bold & Uk Showing have done a good job. Bold have painted the indoor and it was a lot less dull and dark and looked a lot better. You are never going to get anymore seating in there unless they do away with the tented area at the bottom and have more seats there.

Well its just a shame you don't think more about your competitors, Swapping judges to accommodate other competitors is crazy, unfair and in my eyes cheating!!!! I and others have today overheard a Mrs Ronson from UK showing quoting about judges being changed to accommodate a certain someone!!. It stinks and I feel sorry for all the people in the M & M classes today because the judge clearly didn't now what she was doing, so much so her steward was choosing the line up!!!!!!!!!!! At 15.00 a class you would think you could look after your competitors a little more. If a judge is stated and at the show why should the judge be changed, dint give me the old chestnut about interest in the ring the schedule has been on your website for weeks! UK Showing is becoming a little rough around the edges, unorganized and greedy no wonder you cant get panel judges !!!!!!! Is it all just about the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was another who wasn't impressed. The warm up was just appalling. There needed to be a steward or someone to organise things a little better. I still can't understand how people thought it would be possible to canter round in there? There must have been near enough 40 horses/ponies in a very, very small arena - and just to add to things was the horrendous noise that the speaker was throwing out, making most ponies go mad. Wasn't impressed with the judging either. Oh, and the parking wasn't very good H&S wise! We were packed in so tightly that if anybody needed to get out in an emergency then it would have been impossible! We just kept thinking of the lorry fire at Uttoxeter last month - if anything had happened yesterday, there was no physical way of getting a fire engine (or ambulance for that matter) anywhere near the wagons on the field

With regards to one of the judges being changed, does anyone know which ring this was in? I competed in two M&M classes today in different rings, and as far as I know, got the judges listed, but now you've got me wondering.
We had a great day, placed in one class, not the other, but everything went smoothly, apart from the millionaire landing in the field adjacent so he could check out what facilities were on offer. Horses and helicopters aren't the best of combinations, but luckily, all was well.

i think it was ring 2 that was changed as Mrs G Kennedy should of been doing ring 7 she ended up doing ring 2 and yesterdays judge T Thomas did ring 7 so ring 2 judge didnt judge today that is my understanding dont quote me on it though LOL LOL

Had a fab weekend, WHisp was really good!
We got 3rd Best Condition ;D ;D 5th In Hand Veteran ;D ;D 8th Concours ;D ;D
Not very impressed though with the way they handled everything though Bold just isn't big enough in my opinion to hold UK Showing, it was downright dangerous using the horses stables as a route for cars and lorrys to come driving down, it was ridiculous, small children on ponies were beign forced out of the way by huge lorrys My stable also flooded, and I wasnt happy with Whisp standing ina puddle all night I certainly won't be staying again
