Sorry do not agree that R Sutcliffe is always fair i he seems pretty consistant i have watched his judging many times and IMO he does favour certain people look at PUK last year he judged a C/D class and the D he brought up to 2nd went badly and looked very common but was with top producer the pony pulled second went much better yet was dropped he judged that class very strangley my friend was in that class and i watched all of it. Was the 2nd that got moved down a Section C ridden by Nat Midd. Also it is about conformation not just how they go.

I am not a producer or known however I have done very well under him with some ponies not as well with others but have always felt very fairly judged, what more can you ask.... I feel he looks at everything, breed type, conformation, show etc....

Even though i am not doing Olympias this year, would never have been put off by RS judging. He a fair and consistent judge and puts equal merit on performance / conformation and breed type, all qualities that i love to see in a Olympia judge ! Even though i am likely to get shot down in flames for this Olympia is the most prestigious completion us mounties have and we need judges like Russell to preserve our breed types ! He will defiantly judge what he sees on the day and through the form book out of the window !!

it cld be something no one has really seen out this year, what about Mai or prince charming?? (guessing he may not be out this year) or some of the lovely horses from last year maybe they are just waiting in the wings?

Yep that he will do. Looks to me as if you are fine if he knows and likes you or if he doesn't know you. Those he knows but doesn't like, or if you associate with someone he doesn't like, may find themselves never in the top spot regardless.

Wouldn't it be nice to have totally fair, unbiased judges but then everyone has their own opinion regarding type and conformation and so every show has different results. As long as personalities, money, favours, lust, backhanders on pony sales, etc are kept out of judging competition Might impove. There again it might not

I have just been on there, seems silly that they would write change of judge but not what class and who! Got us worried now....

i can understand why people dont just go to the show and see what happens. Yes solo did qualify under R S last year- who says that it is even going & if it does go whos to say its going to qualify, they are animals so can make mistakes.

Stop spoiling things for Solo and encouraging people to put another cob through so that it doesn't appear facey. This is a very naughty tactic and exactly what the bad element on this site would wish to happen.

I agree with you Tut as I stated yesterday(Reply 44) It seems as though this trend will continue all season, unfortunately. If a judge favours a pony, so what. Instead of whining and stirring it up on here, DON'T GO.

We all have judges that we have done well under in the past, and would follow them to the end of the country for a qualifyer ....if i had solo i would def be going but think that Charlene will be under pressure to do well with RS qualifying her last year ....good luck to Solo ...i hopeyou qualify and have another chance at the olympia title ..as you were my favourite to have it last year after watching the final !

This thread has gone on about a handful of ponies. I’m sure that there will be loads of quality ponies there for Mr. Sutcliffe to choose from. As long as he goes home on the day happy with his choice that is all that matters. I for one don’t think anything said on here will influence his decision. Good luck to all.

I find it incredible that 'guests' come on here saying the site has a 'bad element' when the bulk of the dodgy posts are by the 'guests'. I realise we have had this conversation before and 'Julie' who is a guest is great but on the whole it is always a guest that starts the b****ing. Good luck everyone competing anything this season, enjoy your ponies and horses.

It has to be said that, going by ISPs (and I know they can be duplicated), many negative comments are made by members who don't wish to use their user names!

Well if that is the case it makes it even worse, and if so I apologise to the true guests posting non catty comments. What I can't understand is if you truly believe what you are writing why would you need to hide behind the 'guest' guize, very odd, have the courage of your convictions or don't bother.

Yup! totally. exactly what i mean by the phrase "coward". I say everything i want to say. yeah it might annoy a few people but i can deal with that and people get over it in time. you cant please everyone all the time. I dont do the 2 faced bull, i'm not false like that. I dont want to hurt peoples feelings, thats never my intension, but some people do and then for them to hide behind a guest name is just spineless, vindictive and basically jealous. you know who you are. 1 question, Why?

I imagine people are often scared of potential ramifications. I'm not condoning some of the really personal comments, but I can understand if someone has a real gripe about how a class has been judged then they may not want to go public but still have a need to vent their frustration.

Yes there is a connection as far as i remember they all had four legs and were registered in the main body of their respective stud books. I also look long and hard at everyone i meet and up to now have found there is always something good about everyone in varying degrees admitted. But I can honestly say there is no one I would go as far as to say i dislike sorry if you think this but can assure you it is a misconception on your part or perhaps paranoia brought on by others rumours. Good luck to everyone going .To anyone dithering go have a punt at this one I cant promise I will prefer yours but will give you your moneys worth, double entry fee or not .If I dont then look forward to getting slated on here afterwards. Bye for now Russell

Very nice of you Russell to come on here and be so honest! I wish there were more people like you, not bothered about big names and not afraid to give a nice pony a chance! I hope you have a pleasant day of judging and if you do get slated on here, it's only sad people who have nothing better to do! At the end of the day, if you give people a fair chance, what more can thy ask for?
